#ez pee

A while back I promised a review of my colour-matched EZ Pee, and I’m finally ready with my thoughts and experience! 

It came shipped to me in a small black drawstring pouch inside of a discreetly labeled box. (Since I got mine colour-matched, it did take a little longer than usual, but nothing extraordinary.) The detail is quite good: you can see lots of wrinkles and fine lines on the shaft and ‘balls’ and the head has good detail. You may notice that the colour match isn’t exact, and that was due to us picking  the wrong foundation and is in no way a reflection on the company. The urethra is somewhat large to allow for adequate drainage, however the stream is still fairly natural. The reservoir inside the shaft and base/balls is fairly large (much larger than other STPs I’ve tried), but because my bladder holds a fairly large volume, I do wish it was a bit larger. Mine is obviously circumcised; at this point there is no uncircumcised option, which I hope they will consider adding in the future.

When I first received it using it was a bit intimidating and challenging. Peeing standing up is definitely something you have to get used to. I find that my biggest problem is that I have bigger thighs since I’m a bigger guy, and sometimes they will squeeze the base and compromise the seal, causing leakage. You definitely have to be very aware of how you’re holding it to avoid squeezing it at all, and you need to be able to control the flow of your urine to avoid overflowing it. I do sometimes use it to pack with and I wish it was a little larger for that. It’s definitely not my go-to packer. I do NOT find that you need a harness to use it. The website does recommend wearing briefs, but I prefer Target’s Mossimo boxer briefs in a size smaller than my usual size, and that works best for me. I have tried using it with both kinds of Rodeoh boxer briefs that I own and I didn’t find that they worked for me at all.

When it comes to care and cleaning, store it in the pouch THEY sent it in, and when you get new underwear, ALWAYS wash them in HOT water before wearing them with the EZ Pee. I learned the hard way that dyes WILL STAIN the silicone. For cleaning, I use Hibiclens medical grade soap (pictured below) at the end of each day. The website just recommends antibacterial soap, but I had this left over from my top surgery and I find that it works well.

Over all I give it 4/5 stars. 

Cons: The reservoir size, I wish it was slightly larger; I wish the seam where the halves connect was less visible, it always makes me worried that it might tear, even though there is no evidence to indicate that it will; there is no uncircumcised option; and I wish the shaft was a bit longer; the cost is fairly prohibitive, the colour matched is $295 USD + international shipping from Austrailia.

Pros: No harness needed, it’s very wearable; the urine stream is very natural; it looks realistic and has good detail; it’s easy to clean; the materials are medical-grade and completely skin safe.
