Something Timeless || Fjor & Vali
for @eyungr
He had asked Vali along without thinking and, although the boy had once expressed his desire to take his sisters along, he was the only one that slid outside when Fjor drove by the house to pick him up. In the dooropening, he saw Helga, who looked at him with a strange, almost worried, yet gentle look, and he cleared his throat as he opened the door for Vali to get into the car.
As he settled next to him, he leant over to help with the seatbelt, clicking it in place and giving it a tug to make sure the blonde boy was safely strapped into his seat.
"Thank you for coming," was his first sentence, but then he felt stupid all at once, and he just clapped Vali on the arm, starting the car before moving both his hands to the steering wheel, "the weather is supposed to be very nice today. I threw a surprise in the back of the car if you're up for it, but don't tell your parents."
By now, he had noticed that Vali enjoyed the senses that weren't sight more than someone who could see, and he had thought that perhaps, on top of grass, ice and trees, the other man might actually enjoy the sensation that was brought forth by paragliding. Hence, he'd thrown the tandem glide in the back, together with some picnic stuff and a blanket to sit on.
