It is Scratch, Chemical, and Water Resistant. It Self-Levels, has Low Odor, Low V.O.C. and cleans up easily with water. Use anywhere an extra level of protection is needed. Tough enough for Bar-tops, floors and more. Added UV stabilizers will keep dyes and stains brilliant and will help protect colors from fading. Dries crystal clear even over white finishes. Excellent for use as a chalk paint sealer. CrystaLac Polyurethane can be applied by either brushing or spraying (gravity feed or HVLP sprayer) see website for detailed spraying instructions. Use a good quality brush. Prior to Top Coating, we recommend using CrystaLac Amber Toned Sanding Sealer to enrich the warm natural colors in the wood and minimize grain raising. It is not necessary to sand between each Top Coat. All CrystaLac Top Coats will bond to the prior coat. CrystaLac Top Coats can be used over thoroughly dried oil or water-based stains, shellac, lacquer, Polyurethane or Acrylic. If recoating over an old finish, scuff sand first and remove any surface contaminants such as dirt, waxes or polishes. Usually 3 to 5 coats are sufficient to produce a beautiful, protective finish.
