send me five times kissed for a drabble about five times our muses kissed
Thursday, 23 November, 1972. The boys knew Remusā secret bynow but they were unable to do anything to protect him from himself or histransformations. As he lay, utterly spent,in his bed, there was not much Sirius could do except lay beside him and smoothdown his hair ā cool and damp with the cold sweat that had overtaken his bodynow that the fever had broken.
He had his arm flung over Remusā broken body, the tremblingshowing no signs of stopping even as Remus whimpered into his pillow. Heādspent the first day after the moon with Poppy, but now he was back in thedorms. Heād have to go back to class tomorrow ā but Sirius was whispering, āJust one day, and then itās the weekendā,right into Remusā ear.
āItās okay, I know it hurts⦠but youāre okay. Iām here.āRemus was practically out of his mind still, hardly coherent as Sirius rolledhim onto his back and looked at him with sad, grey eyes. āIām here.ā He whispered again, pressing his lips to Remusā, thoughthe kiss would not be reciprocated and he lay his head down on the other boyāschest to close his eyes and grip Remus tightly, wishing he could take away thepain.
Fourth year, Sirius and James and Peter were so close to completing their journey tobecome animagi that Sirius could almost tasteit. He was so proud of himself ā thinking he was the cleverest wizard toever set foot in Hogwarts, that he couldnāt help but brag to Moony whatever chance he got.
During one such instance, he was a bit drunk on smuggled Firewhisky, that he almost forgot himself. Hisarm was draped lazily over Remusā shoulder as they sat ā side pressed to side āin the common room. Remus was giggling over Siriusā blatant egotistical nature(made all the worse by his inebriated state).
āHonest, honest,Rem⦠Iām⦠Iāve been giving the lads a helpful hand. Without meā¦ā He flourishedhis arm, spilling butterbeer down his front and a bit onto Remusā lap. āTheyādbe lost.ā He looked at Remus then, who lovingly called him a self-centered twat and kissed him on theside of the mouth, close enough to his cheek for it to have been an accident.
Then, not knowing how Remus would respond, he got up andwent to talk to James instead.
Monday, 17 November, 1975 ā the full moon was coming andSirius could tell how on edge Remus was. He was withdrawn, kept to himself, didnāt want anything to do with theimpromptu party that happened in the common room.
It was a sad little attempt on Jamesā part to get Lily Evansto kiss him. Heād suggested they play the Muggle game spin the bottle, but with wands. Lily had objected ā youāll just charm it, or say a silent spellā¦I donāt trust you. So, they used an empty bottle of butterbeer from the last celebration. Dorcas threatenedeveryone if they tried to cheat and it took everythingin Sirius to get Remus to agree to play.
He sat on opposite sides of the circle from him, knowingfull well he wanted to kiss Remus. He also realized, with each spin of the bottle, that he wouldnāt be able tobear it if someone else landed on Moony ā hisMoony. His feelings had become so concrete and apparent to him anymore ā heeven found himself wanting to viciously protect.
When Remusā turn came and the bottle landed on Sirius, hesheepishly said it was okay, and hedidnāt expect Sirius to kiss him. But there was a light in the otherās greyeyes as he crawled across the center of the circle to cup Remusā face. Hetipped his jaw back and pressed their lips together in a delicate embrace āhoping to convey everything he felt through simple touch. But, when he pulledback, Remus just stared, mouth agape and starry eyed.
Thereās time, hetold himself, thereās time. But thatwas before what happened the next day, before Sirius told Severus where to meetthem. Before heād almost give up Remusā secret and caused a fellow student tolose his life.
December, 1975 ā the Ball. Sirius had scarcely had muchcontact with any of his friends since the incident, but he loved them all so much. Heād tried various ways of expressing his regretand how sorry he was. James still wasnāttalking to him, but Pete and Remus had come around. However, Sirius could tellthat the latter was still hanging on. And he understood, what heād done hadbeen so wrong and there was no takingit back, but he wanted to make things right, so badly.
Being poor with spoken word, Sirius sent Remus an enchantednote to meet him out in the gardens ā signed anonymously and written with aself-spelling quill so that his handwriting did not give him away. He waitedout in the cold for what felt like hours, his cheeks and nose red as the glittering snow fell around him.
His stomach lurched as he started to make up stories in hishead ā Remus was inside, dancing and laughing with Shacklebolt, or the lads were all talking about how stupid he wasto think they would forgive him. He felt so alone, until he heard snow crunching under feet and his heart skipped a beat. A smilegraced Siriusā lips as Remus came into view.
āI was beginning to think you werenāt coming.ā He said, reaching out and grabbing Remus by the elbow, not giving him a chance to speakbefore he leaned in to kiss Remus ā for real this time. It was slow andlingered for longer than was necessary, but Remusā mouth was warm and tasted ofhot chocolate. He had the other boy pulled flush up against him and, when he finished, he looked down at the shorterboy.
āIām sorry.ā Hesaid again, āI love you.ā
The flat Sirius had rented with the money he inherited fromUncle Alphard hadnāt felt like home until Remus came to stay with him. Theirrelationship, since Fifth year, had become more and more serious, and the olderof the two found it rather difficult to imagine life without Remus.
They didnāt have a lot of time together, but they had theflat with the shitty Christmas lights strung up to give it life. They had their lumpy bed and their overstuffed armchair (Itās only supposed to fit one of us, Sirius!). They had thesecond-hand record player and all the records to go with: their favorite, a LedZeppelin track that they slow danced to at three oāclock in the morning.
Sirius loved Remus, irrevocably and unconditionally, and hedidnāt want the war to tear them apart.
As Thank You creaked through the speakers and the young menswayed on the spot, Sirius looked down at Remus with a drunken half-smile. āDoyou know how much I love you?ā He asked, his forehead now pressed against Remusā.It would only be a matter of days before they were ripped away from each otheronce again and Sirius wanted the good feelingsto tide Remus over on his journeys ā wherever he went. āI love you so much.ā He breathed against Moonyāslips before his own were pressed against them ā his affection always speakinglouder than his words.
