Several hours later we figured it might be safe to leave. We were inside from 6pm to 11pm. I know it’s this time because we asked my brother what time it was. He took his phone out and said it was 11 and that we were hiding in the store since 6.

We exit the store again only to be stopped by warning shots. The guy is still there. We’re basically hostages now. Other shoppers are loitering outside the other stores. The doors of the shops locked us out so we were stranded outside.

I went around the back of the shopping center, separating myself from my family. Once I left that center, the whole area opened up into an amalgamation of a city.

We never made it back to our car.

Here’s some dream whiplash because now I’m sitting at a small white table with the Joker. The table was one of those square-shaped folding tables. It was fine for a little while, we were drawing and writing notes to each other.

I navigated this new, dark city by myself. There were bad guys on almost every street corner and in the alleyways, too. They shut down the whole city! I even met up with some local ruffians who wanted to fight them back. I hesitate to call them gang members but I think they were driven out of their turf and that is the reason they wanted to get back at them.

Everywhere people tried to stop me but I kept moving forward. I only ran the other way when I heard shots. I warned people who were trying to escape not to go to certain areas because there were more guns that way.

Here’s a really bad part. I found more helpless people standing around. This time the gunmen were in the streets and the people were all along the sidewalk.

I see BATMAN of all people swooping down and people start cheering. How nice of him to come save us. BUT THE PEOPLE DECIDE TO CHASE AFTER HIM. When they go around the corner and I can’t see them, I hear a wave of gunfire. These people--and some children--were getting themselves killed. It’s like they forgot all about the dangerous situation they were in. It was awful.

At the same time as this, there were multiple explosions going off in the area. Maybe that’s why no one would go into any buildings. 💣 A fire hydrant burst. I think a train derailed somewhere in the city, too. It was chaos! I ran away!

Gee, I wonder if the Joker that appeared earlier in my dream had something to do with this! He’s like,”Hey, pal! Look what I’ve done to Gotham City! Check it out, my fellow fam.”
