"Questions about DNA evidence also led Bell to request a hearing challenging Williams’ guilt. But days before the Aug. 21 hearing, new testing showed that DNA on the knife belonged to members of the prosecutor’s office who handled it without gloves after the original crime lab tests.
Without DNA evidence pointing to any alternative suspect, Midwest Innocence Project attorneys reached a compromise with the prosecutor’s office: Williams would enter a new, no-contest plea to first-degree murder in exchange for a new sentence of life in prison without parole.
Judge Bruce Hilton signed off on the agreement, as did Gayle’s family. But at the urging of Missouri’s Republican attorney general, Andrew Bailey, the state Supreme Court blocked the agreement and ordered Hilton to proceed with an evidentiary hearing, which took place Aug. 28.
Hilton ruled on Sept. 12 that the first-degree murder conviction and death sentence would stand, noting that Williams’ arguments all had been previously rejected. That decision was upheld Monday by the state Supreme Court."

Finally settling on an Artemis design I actually like drawing.
Also I like the idea of Jarlaxle cutting Artemis’ hair during Sellswords in a “I Truly Do Not Care About Anything and i’m FINE with letting you wield sharp objects near my neck” sort of way and then when they finally reconcile Artemis lets him cut his hair again but is more of an active participant in the whole thing rather than just sitting there silently with a not so subtle latent deathwish
im rewatching closet monster and i'm still as shook as the first time i watched it. how does this movie accomplish taking over your entire body for over an hour and making you so obsessed with each character. why hasn't everybody seen this?!
I’VE BEEN SAYING THIS. Like honestly I’ve watched the movie 20+ times and it just has this feeling to it that sticks with you after each viewing. Oscar is such a great character and the movie did a great job at making him resonate with people.
With films like Moonlight, the Way He Looks, & Closet Monster, gay cinema has really been shining this generation.
