Spectacular sailing event in Kiel
This weekend, the iShares Cup will stay in Kiel in Northern Germany. This is the fourth stop of this series where the world's best sailors will fight against each other in their Extreme40 catamarans. These 40-foot long boats (around 12 meters) can reach speeds up to 35 knots, which makes them one of the fastest boat classes in the world! Best of all, the races are right in the center of the city along the so-called "Kielline", where the expected 100000 visitors are just metres away from the race action and enjoying live commentary and the various side events there.

The wind forecast for this weekend in the Kiel area looks really good where we expect wind between 15 and 20 knots throughout the weekend from southern to westerly directions. You can observe the conditions during the races using the frequently updated weather stations at Kiel-Lighthouse, Kiel-Holtenau and Innenförde Kiel (directly at the event site). Also check the webcams in Kiel, you will surely see the race fleet there! You can get an update about the races on the iShares Cup website.

With the start of the 2012 Extreme Sailing Series, might be worth highlighting a long stay in the series. The Wave, Muscat. A marina area in Oman, this company have gone for full sail coverage - increasing sail weight. Judging by the historical results, it doesn't seem to be hindering them though. Clean and strongly highlights its chief brand property.
