Man Crush Monday...my world. My inspiration. My mirror. 😍 Today is the perfect Monday to be mindstrong. I'm enjoying the weather, I've crossed off some to-do's, I get to eat a homemade vegan lunch, teach some yoga, clean up the yard a bit AND still have time for some reflection of how so much has changed since 9/11/2001. I was just a young teenager at the time with a very small lens for the outside world. Many days, I am still like that on purpose to keep the peace within myself, yet so much of my mind and my heart is shared with people all around the US and the globe. Travel has greatly expanded my cultural awareness and my practice of service and diversity has grown my need to be more connected with the world around me. @nick_comsia_someday made a post this morning about 9/11 and about the good and the bad in the world. He really inspires me to keep doing my little bits of good, to not get discouraged when I don't succeed at making the WHOLE world a better place, but to be grateful for the impact I AM able to make. Thank you Nico for being a reflection of virtue that I get to stare day after day. ~ How do you allow yourself to see both sides of the moment? ~ In every situation or circumstance we enter, there are at least two forces in action; what is being creatively emitted, as well as what is being energetically reflected back. Like standing in front of an object and its shadow, we are reminded of the familiar phrases "what goes up, must come down" and "every action has an equal and opposite reaction." While seemingly different quotes on the surface, at their core, they share the same fundamental concept of existence; there is always more than one reality, thought process and viewpoint to be held at any given moment. Even when regarding a seemingly obvious scene, there is what appears to be happening and then there is what is actually happening. Only the Cosmos can no for certain; there is no true way to gauge the actuality of any entity or energy and quite truthfully, we require uniqueness and these varied perspectives of our soul, to teach us lessons of change and consciousness.
