I asked if she meant Narnia Narnia, and she said she did, so I consulted the table at dinner tonight for how exactly this fic would go. 

trelkez: So, someone asked me for a fic where Derek and Stiles are somehow in a karaoke bar in Narnia. absolutedestiny: .... of course. trelkez: How do Derek and Stiles get to Narnia? absolutedestiny: Through a wardrobe, OBVIOUSLY. exitbybears: Or through a locker in the school.  joyo: Wood from the nemeton is used to build a wardrobe that leads to Narnia. everyone: Ooh, yeah.  trelkez: Also in this prompt, in the Narnian karaoke bar, the only songs on the list are Disney songs. sisabet: Is Derek going to sing Part of Your World and then comb his hair with a fork? trelkez: What does Stiles sing? sisabet: A Whole New World.  absolutedestiny: No -- Derek -- will he be singing I'll Make A Man Out Of You at any point? sisabet: That WOULD be a whole new world for Stiles, if Derek made a man out of him.  trelkez: Wait, wait, I'm suddenly picturing a Lady and the Tramp Sterek AU. absolutedestiny: Jen -- he's a tramp. trelkez: YES. Exactly. Derek is the tramp.  absolutedestiny: Are you writing this? trelkez: No, I'm just writing down our discussion of it. absolutedestiny: Dammit, I'm invested now. trelkez: But I don't know what the plot is. Why are they singing karaoke in Narnia? absolutedestiny: What if it's not just a karaoke bar, it's the karaoke bar from Angel, IN NARNIA, and they have to sing to get information? exitbybears: And then emotional revelations happen. trelkez: So they're lost ... and singing to find a way out of Narnia? exitbybears: Yes.  absolutedestiny: Is Narnia now a magical version of a cave-in? sisabet: If someone sang karaoke in a cave-in, I would read it. 

Lexington Comic Con was a bit much for me this year -- too many people jammed into the space, aisles were too small, hall was too hot, I started getting jittery the moment we walked in. I was with what-alchemy and exitbybears, and we spent most of the first half hour just trying not to get separated. 

On the plus side: I picked up a couple prints at Daunt's table. I wanted evvverything, but I limited myself to two and got this one and this one. exitbybears agonized over her choices for a small eternity -- long enough for Daunt and I to go "Bitecon!!" at each other -- but I think she wound up with ... three or four? I think three TW prints and a Sherlock one for what-alchemy.

(Daunt, if you're reading this, it was lovely to meet you! I feel like I should add that in somewhere, instead of just listing off awesome art.)

If the vid has an embed option + you credit the vidder, why not? If the vids streaming version is passworded, though, I might ask first.

I have never managed to get into regular supermarket beer. Growing up in Canada surrounded by hockey people, this is tantamount to a crime.

My mother doesn't understand how I can watch a hockey game without a Labatt Blue. She sent me some money once to make sure I could have beer for the Stanley Cup finals, and I felt obligated to use the money on actual beer, which then sat untouched in the fridge until the day I left town.

i don’t like beer, either, but my sister-in-law bought this beer made w/ cherries from belgium and we drank it all. b/c it was yummy. enjoy your beer!
