Bringing It To Life
If words and all objects are dead, then what makes them so real and alive to me? In a video game, all the characters and objects are dead. And yet, this is identical to our 3D world of existence, but in the video game they are dead to me, whereas, in my 3D world, all objects and all my interactions and experiences are not!
The video game is identical to our 3D world. Materialists assert that those video game characters are 2D and lack any sensory processes! With sensory processes, it is only a mater of time with advanced technology that these video game characters will be like us, that is, living in a simulation as a video game in which we watch!
You pick up a pebble at the beach, and this pebble is ordinary and is similar to millions of others on the beach. You walk your pet dog and your pet dog means something to you. You have a connection to your dog. You have had many interactions with your pet dog. You have had many experiences in many types of situations with your pet dog. These experiences and emotional interactions became fond memories of importance! These interactions gave your connection to your pet dog meaning!
You made the dog alive to you, because the dog has meaning to you! The pebble has little importance, as you had little interactions and experiences with that random, ordinary pebble on the beach!
In the video game, a character can pick up a pebble. That is almost identical to you picking a pebble up! The only difference is that you made an effort to pick it up! You decided to make an effort to pick up the pebble. You had to bend down to pick up the pebble. You could have easily continued to walk past that pebble, but you stopped! Your sensory information is not that different from any current video game character's sensory information! Yet, your decision made it alive! Your decision to create effort made the experience of picking up the pebble to come alive! You picked the effort! Walking by is also coming alive, because walking by is another decision by you! Your effort is your input! Your effort made the situation at the beach come alive! Your decision whether to walk by, or pick up the pebble made the entire situation to come alive! Came from you and not the beach!
Each of your decisions, actions, and thoughts are alive, because at that moment of time, out of all the things you could have done and said and thought of, you picked that specific one! You picked that very specific one for that moment of time, because it was the most important. Because it was the most important, it was also the most meaningful! And, because it was meaningful to you, you made it come alive! You've been doing this all your life without knowing it!
It is you making everything coming alive and not the objects and interactions themselves!
Coming alive comes from you!
