@exheroibus Cinderella starter for Lucien
Ella had finally had enough of her cruel step mother and her awful sisters. She would be locked inside and forced to be their servant no more. All she wanted was one night. One night to socialize and have a little fun. She didn’t even care for trying to meet a prince or any wealthy man for that matter. All she desired was a night of freedom and feeling pretty. Instead she received a ruined dress and more of a mess to clean up as she was locked in that awful house on her own for the night.
So Ella did what she never had the confidence to do before. She ran away. There would be no more ‘Cinderella, I want tea!’ ‘Cinderella, fix my hair!’ There would be no more Cinderella at all. Only Ella Tremaine now. Maybe just Ella. As much as she loved the only tie she had left to her father, she did not want to be found and brought back to that house. That place hadn’t been home since the day they received news of his untimely death.
She hadn’t exactly known where she was going to go when she packed what little belongings she had and left. She just knew she’d find the adventure she’d always dreamed about. Originally, she wanted to head towards the docks, but something in the forest was pulling her in another direction. It just felt like she was supposed to go this way, and Ella wanted to trust her instincts.
Ella didn’t see the wall, she just saw a low hanging tree; it reminded her of her mother’s tree, and she wanted to get closer to it. A willow, she believed it was called, and she wanted to get closer to it. She ducked through some bushes, finding it a tighter squeeze than it had looked, but luckily she was very thin from eating only the scraps left behind by her step mother and step sisters. The air felt fresher after she was through, and it seemed warmer. A little unusual, but she didn’t think much of it, her focus was on the willow tree.
She found herself humming quietly as she got nearer, a song her mother must have sung to her as a child. She could no longer remember the words, but the melody was just as soothing on it’s on. Enough so that Ella hadn’t even realized when she had sat beneath the tree and fallen asleep. She hadn’t even known she had been asleep until she felt someone shaking her awake. She opened her eyes, expecting it to be one of her step sisters, but instead she was faced with a handsome man with hair as bright as autumn leaves.
Startled, Ella sat up and moved back quickly, accidentally hitting her head against the tree behind her.
