Did it! It was harder than I expected. I guess that's a sign that I need to do more, get stronger
I went lap swimming seriously today for the first time since like 2005 back when I was on swim team. I only swam around 200 meters (hard to tell because this is the local apartment complex's pool and I had to estimate the length but I think it's about 10m long) but I feel like I have been transformed.
I feel great. I feel so light on my feet. I am going to be mush tomorrow probably. My arms became so noodly and I didn't think my legs got much of a work out but my quads are now telling me otherwise.
I walked up to the pool looking 400% like a dork and I do not care. Long-sleeve swim suit, goggles, and swim shoes because the bottom of the apartment complex' pool is uh. Paint chips. Anyway. I felt protected and also like I was prepping for the Olympics.
Five burpees. Jumping is great for you.
Did it! Is it bad that I'm exhausted after that little? It is boiling at the moment and I had just been out.

think i'm gonna stick my exercise updates to once a week. 20 mins of cardio per weekday isn't a lot, but my time is limited so i'm trying to maximize how much i get done by doing high resistance. as for weights, rn i'm doing 2 sets of 20 with a pulldown 304 machine (normal and reverse grip) and 2 sets of 20 with a pec fly machine (horizontal and vertical grip). i've been doing 80 lbs, going up to 90 yesterday and today.
rn i don't have specific weight/muscle goals. really the plan is just to do this regularly for the sake of feeling better, with the emphasis being on working muscles that have been causing pain. it's worked immediately for my right arm, so i'm probably gonna stay the course for now and see how i feel in a week or two.
okay i did my PT and took a walk and it did help my pain levels -_-
the walk Was worth it cuz i discovered some kids and their parents made a fort in the park EXACTLY like the forts me n my uncle would make when i was a kid back in rural NH :)
