Mental health Mondays!
I’m gonna try to start making post on Mondays on ways to help encourage people who battle mental health!
Self care!
Self care is vital in helping you feel better about things around you or about things you go through.
Examples of self care would be
• bathing
Take a bath, through some epsom salts in, maybe some infused with essential oils, you can keep lights on or off, maybe candles and soothing music. Great way to relax and the warmth of the water helps relax tense muscles along with the oils can also help with relaxation!
•Eating right, hydrating well
Food is a vital part to self care
Don’t be afraid of eating a bit of chocolate or sweets, but make sure to also eat something with protein like chicken or beef, protein helps make you feel full and gives you better, steady energy
Drink water! It’s important to stay hydrated, if you don’t like plain water try some flavoring packets!
• exercise
Go for a walk or go to the gym. Doesn’t have to be for a long time, ten minutes can still help uplift your mood! I’m always down for a walk in the woods!
•rest!
Take time to rest! Whether it be napping, going to bed early, or just shutting down the electronics and doing something like a craft. Rest is really important!
