If you are not born into a Jewish family, can you convert to Judaism and participate in the practices? I know that Judaism is also an ethnicity, and I’m not sure about the entitlement someone has who has converted to Judaism, but is lacking the ethnicity. I want to learn more so that I can continue to be respectful of Jewish culture and traditions to the best of my ability :))
if you officially convert to judaism through a rabbi, you are a jew!! everything judaism offers is open to you :) yes it’s true that judaism is an ethnicity and the vast majority (around 98%) of jews are ethnic jews, but converts are so so valid and are just as jewish as the rest of us!! ofc your ethnicity doesn’t change lol but our practices are open to you once you fully convert and are welcomed in!!
