He is alone in his chambers and flicks through the notes that adorn his shelves. Soon, they will have enough to get through to the Seafloor Cavern. Only Rocket’s ambition of domination was standing in their way. Where were the kids that came to stop them before in Johto? Why are they not here? Exhale. He rubs his temples. He tries to doze off. Failure.

Maxie soon finds himself exasperated at his inability to get any sleep and a quick check in the mirror reveals droopy eyes; thankfully the large glasses adorning his face obscures most of it. Popping some drinks into his body was all he could do at the moment before a grunt came rushing in, her face flushed and her body heaving.

“Sir, they’re on the western reaches of Mossdeep!” he startles, grabs the report from the grunt’s trembling hands. “Very well,” a devious smile plays on his lips, “I will meet them. Inform the others that this base is to be kept safe at all costs.”

“Yes, sir!”

Soon, he is at the location of the report. There are Rocket grunts everywhere. The populace is terrified and indoors. Some spot him and Feuer, his Camerupt, sweeps through what little opposition they put up.
