SANSA EXCHANGE IS BACK FOR ANOTHER YEAR!

The 2026 round of the Sansa fic (and art) exchange will follow this schedule:

Sign-ups: February 20, 2026 - March 6, 2026 Assignments sent: by March 10, 2026 Assignments Due/Deadline: April 17, 2026 Works Revealed: April 24, 2026 Authors Revealed: May 1, 2026

All ships and gen relationships involving Sansa, from either ASOIAF or GoT, are welcome to this event. This is a relatively low-pressure fic exchange with a minimum of 500 words, but with the possibility of opting into receiving and giving art.

We have two requests in need of a creator! Deadline is ideally April 23th at 11.59 PM PT, however if you think you can do one of these but may need a little longer, please still get in touch with us to claim and we can discuss a timeline. If we cannot get these filled before April 24, we will need to delay reveals. If you want to claim a Pinch Hit please hit us up on email or discord. Same rules apply (minimum 500 words, need to respect the requiter's max rating and Do Not Wants)

We still have a lingering Pinch Hit, so at this point, we are announcing a one-week delay in opening the collection. Works will be revealed on May 1, 2026 (assuming everyone who posted a gift, has a gift).

The deadline to post your assignment for the Sansa Exchange has officially passed. Thank you to everyone who has already posted or spoken to us about an extension! If you don't have a gift yet, it's likely because your author has asked for an extension - sit tight, everyone who posted a gift will receive a gift.

Please check your email and/or discord (if you provided one in your sign up) and respond to any mod communications in the next 24 hours. This is especially important if you have not posted your assignment and have not discussed an extension or default with us. Participants who default without informing the mods will be banned from the next year of the exchange.

Pinch Hits, if any remain, will begin going up in the next day or two.

Assignments are due this Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11.59 PM PT (GMT-8)!

Assignments must be complete and posted to this collection: it's not necessary to also make your work anonymous as the collection does that automatically. If your ao3 account is new, this is a good time to also double check in "My preferences" if your account allows others to give you gifts.

If you need to default or ask for an extension of up to three days, please don't hesitate to tell us (on discord or at [email protected]) as there is no penalty for that! Only those who default without informing us at the deadline will be banned from next round of the exchange.

Assignments are out! Please check the e-mail with which you signed up for your assignment. (Make sure to check your junk folder if it’s not in your inbox.) If you have NOT received your assignment, please reach out to the mods via off-anon ask, discord or the mod e-mail ASAP. Please respond to your assignment e-mail so we know you received it.

Your assignment will be due on April 17, 2026, 11:59 PM (PT/GMT-8). Once you have completed your work, please post it to the exchange AO3 collection.

Please remember the following as you create for your recipient:  

This is an anonymous exchange, so please keep who you are writing for and the details of what you are writing a secret (other than from your beta/writing cheerleader). If you have a question about your assignment/for your recipient, please contact the mods. DO NOT contact your recipient directly.

You must submit a completed work with a minimum of 500 words for fic OR a clean sketch on unlined paper for art. You may only create art if your recipient has stated that they are requesting art.

Your fic must be in one of the fandoms your recipient requests and centering on at least one of the romantic or platonic relationships they request in that fandom.

You MUST respect your recipient’s Do Not Wants and the highest rating they are willing to receive.

Recipients’ likes and prompts are optional, however you are encouraged to take them into consideration. Please remember that you are creating a gift for someone.
