Eunah makes comeback with second solo mini-album Like Me

Shortly after her group made their return with a new single in the form of throwback track “Uh-Oh” last month, 7ROPHY’s Eunah has released her second solo mini-album today. Eunah was last active as a solo artist as summer turned to autumn with her first full-length solo album re:new. Since then she’s worked as an Inkigayo MC and starred in the drama Cheese In The Trap, further fleshing out her varied portfolio.

Eunah once again greets listeners with her individual solo sound with her new release, the five-track mini-album Like Me. It opens with the music box-like piano melody of the beginning of “Dandelion”, which fleshes out into an acoustic guitar ballad. The track list continues with the same light sound and often acoustic pop production as a glue bonding the mini-album’s songs musically. Even as songs such as “So-So” and “Jealousy”, which features Lucid member Jeonghwa, explore less pleasant feelings, the musical and vocal through line remains, even through the more bouncy and retro “Dancing Cartoon” that closes off the mini-album. Eunah contributed in part or in full to the lyrics, composition, and production of three tracks: “So-So”, “Chocolate”, and “Dancing Cartoon”.

Eunah’s single for this mini-album, “So-So” is a mid-tempo track lamenting the vocalist’s dull feelings of indifference toward love and dating, with everything feeling little more than just “so-so”. “So-So’” will be promoted on music shows through July 30 and b-side track “Dancing Cartoon” will also be staged for the first week of promotions.

Eunah releases first solo album “re:new″

7ROPHY’s Eunah has dropped her first full-length solo album! Eunah debuted solo last November with her first solo mini-album Mezzanine, and has now made her return with her first ever full-length studio album. In the time since Mezzanine, Eunah has continued to expand her career as an actress into a second season of the hit webdrama A-Teen, and has been hard at work with group activities as a 7ROPHY member as well, including the group’s current appearance on Mnet competition show Queendom.

Eunah’s follow-up to Mezzanine is titled re:new and features a twelve-song track list. The album is largely R&B, indie, jazz, and pop influenced in nature. The album opens with “Loveholic” and closes with a solo version of “I Don’t Know”, featured as a duet with Knight’s Taeyong earlier in the track list. Other features on the album include Eunah’s group mate Lux on “Special” and “Seattle Alone”, Element’s Sun on “Barama”, and Lucid’s Jaein on “Puzzle”. Eunah was involved in the creation of the album as well, as one of the lyricists on ten of the album’s songs, as well as one of the composers on four, and one of the producers on ‘Seattle Alone”. Element’s Sun composed and helped to produce “Give More Care Less”, which Eunah lyric-wrote with Fuse’s Minjung. Fuse’s Suji composed “Puzzle”.

“Maybe It’s Not Our Fault”, a soft pop ballad that Eunah helped to write the lyrics for, serves as the album’s promoted single. Eunah herself appears in the music video only in glimpses of photos, with the music video instead taking an approach mixing animation with scrapbook visuals. Eunah will be promoting the track for a month on music shows and b-side “Painting” will be performed as an auxiliary stage for the first week of her promotions.

[NEWS] 7ROPHY’s Eunah, CHARM’s Yeonggi, and Unity’s Yul announced as new Inkigayo MCs

SBS has confirmed 7ROPHY’s Eunah, CHARM’s Yeonggi, and Unity’s Yul have been chosen as the newest trio to host Inkigayo starting January 31.

This will be both Yeonggi and Eunah’s first time hosting a music show, while Yul will be coming back to the hosting scene after nearly a year since his last hosting role on MBC’s Show! Music Core. All three idols have been making strides in their own respective careers: Yeonggi has been announced for the cast of the drama Abyss set to air in early February, Eunah is currently playing the role of Hong Seol in tvN’s Cheese in the Trap after releasing her first full-length album re:new last fall, and Yul has recently made his solo debut with 1st Desire [Greed] earlier this month after the success of both Unity and sub-unit CHAMPION.

The Inkigayo production team has confirmed the team is in preparation for a special stage to commemorate the new trio. The new MC team’s first episode can be seen on Sunday, January 31 beginning at 15:40 KST.

Our Songs releases first round tracks

base TV show Our Songs has released the first tracks composed by the show’s cast onto streaming sites today! The show was announced earlier this month to begin airing this upcoming Friday and fans have been steadily offered a peak into what to expect over the last few weeks with the release of teaser images of the cast and the release of special cover videos by each cast member.

As of now, an EP (Our Songs, Part 1: Identity/Introduction) has been uploaded on streaming sites with the eight songs created by the contestants for the first round of the show. Voting has opened up on the show’s website for the public to vote for their favorite track. This will be the first round of voting to determine the winner of the show’s first round.

[NEWS] 7ROPHY’s Noeul and Eunah release collab OST for The Beauty Inside

The third part of JTBC drama The Beauty Inside’s original soundtrack has been released onto streaming sites today ahead of the airing of the sixth episode. The latest song off of the soundtrack, “Falling In Love”, is sung by 7ROPHY members Noeul and Eunah, the former of which is acting in the drama in the role of Ryu Ahram.

The Beauty Inside airs every Monday and Tuesday night on JTBC.
