hello ! exgossips is looking for the latest info on our favorite la starlets. we need your -- yes, you -- help ! we’ll be accepting anonymous spotted and rumors from anyone who happens to know anything juicy. under the cut you’ll find out how we’ll be processing the tea i know you all are so desperate to see spilled !
( 1. SPOTTED ) has your muse been out with a new beau ? maybe they had a public spat with an infamous fued of theirs ? whatever it is , we want to know about it ! so, how do you let us know what’s been going on in the bustling streets of LA ? submit the form below to the gossip blog and we’ll happily add it to the weekly spotted round up.
the form:
spotted ! submitted by ( source ), ( muse ) and ( muse ) were seen (as much info as you’d like to be public. details, details, details !!! ).
example:
spotted ! submitted by ( anonymous ), ( dove ) and ( noel ) were seen ( dancing to cotton-eye joe in the pillow aisle of target last weekend. things looked pretty intense as they appeared to be having a dance battle. we can only hope all is well between them now! ).
some rules:
PLEASE make sure you speak with the other mun involved prior to sending in a spotted. this is to ensure you both agree that this is a-okay to be public knowledge!
you’re more than welcome to put your muse and ( mystery person ) as well ! they do not have to be someone in the rp and could certainly be another celebrity that is otherwise an npc in this rp! ie. rihanna, leonardo dicaprio, whatever boo! you can also say more than just an anonymous sent in the info. disgruntled auntie? sure! alleged childhood bestfriend? even better! ball is totally in your court there -- even your muse themselves can submit a spotted. JUST be sure not to godmod any existing muses in the rp. that’s not cool.
please don’t send in a spotted for every interaction your character has ! that’s unnecessary ! just the ones that you think would make it on an us weekly front page. remember: we want juicy, spicy SOMETHING to stir the pot! :)
( 2. Rumors ) as you know word travels quickly around los angeles . especially, when it’s something about our favorite stars! have you heard a secret you just simply cannot keep to yourself? then look no further! much like the sightings, we’ll be accepting rumors in the same way. they can be true , false, or something down the middle -- but you didn’t hear that from us.

rumor has it... ( whatever your rumor is ! not really a form just make sure it starts with rumor has it ! it’s super simple since all of these will be anonymous )
example:
rumor has it... sidney has a child?! weird right? people have been saying sometime in highschool he knocked up a girl and has been hiding this kid, drake style.

same rules as the sightings pretty much !
ALL rumors must have the consent of all muns mentioned! we don’t want godmodding and/or ruined plots!
these can be untrue (in fact , we’d love to see a mix of true and false? just to get the pot stiring)
(3. Comments ) to add to our latest features , we’ll be randomly reaching out to a select few of our celebrities to see if they wish to comment on the sightings / rumors they’ve been involved in. hopefully they’ll give us the real answers.
rumor and sighting posts will happen weekly -- likely on tuesdays ( but we’ll do twice this week so we can do a first test run ). the admins of the gossip blog will randomly ( with a random name picker ) choose a muse and send them a dm asking for a comment on their involvement in either the rumors or the sightings. your muse can choose to say “no comment” or anything they feel really!! however, the gossip column has a tendency to twist words so they might want to think twice before saying anything ;)
all in all, this is going to act more as a real magazine rather than just an ask blog. however, the blog will still be taking asks !! just on truthful tuesdays!! we’re hoping this will result in more ic engagement with not only the gossip blog but with muses who might not realize they’re connected by another muse. i hope this all makes sense!! feel free to dm the main ( @excesshq ) with questions regarding this!!
hey guys ! after talking with raq and some other members , we’ve come to the decision that we’re going to make it so covid-19 does not exist in the roleplay . it’s a big source of stress for a lot of us , and rp is just supposed to be fun and lighthearted . it’s also a lot harder to plan events and plot and make threads because of it , so we’re just going to act like things are normal . we hope you respect this decision ! please like this post once you’ve read it .
can we have a gossip blog? i think it’d be fun to incorporate one and stir up some trouble from time to time. like “spotted” masterposts or gossip round ups!
members , can i ask your thoughts on this ? if we did have a gossip blog , raq and i would either be running it or at least heavily watching over it in order to keep things impartial . i do think it’d be fun if members submitted what they wanted exposed / who they wanted to be spotted with / stuff like that so we could have like our own mini tmz ! just let us know if this is a yes or a no from y’all ! you can message us off anon about your opinion too if you’d prefer to keep it private !
hey guys ! i just wanted to make a post about how truly wonderful you all are . i love when the dash gets poppin’ and how eager you guys are to plot with everyone ! but , i wanted to remind you to please not godmod other muses while you’re plotting . even if you think it’s the perfect plot , if someone is telling you it won’t work , or doesn’t seem 100% on board with it , then please find another idea that’ll work for the both of you ! i understand that you’re excited and you’ve got hella muse , but just step back for a moment and make sure that you’re not controlling others , and that you’re giving them a say in ALL aspects of the plot you’re collaborating on . even if they agree to a frenemies plot , for example , make sure that they’re in agreement about the ‘ why ’ aspect too !
