Oh, man. Okay, so DA:O, any of the love interests in that game? They’re such quality. I love them all. Zevran “No Boundaries/I Picked the Warden For Fuck, Marry, and Kill” Aranai, he’s my D&D character. Morrigan is all snark and I love her for that, plus she’s... actually kind of heartbreaking, a little bit? That line about not being worthy of your friendship. Ugh. Kills me. Alistair! Oh my god, Alistair, you clumsy puppy dog of a person. He was my Warden’s best friend. And I fucked up so bad. And then Leliana. Oh, Leliana in simpler, most innocent times. Silly, sweet, happy Leliana. 

Dragon Age 2! I love all of my companions. (Earlier that day: “I don’t care for Carter.”) But no, this game took all the time they could have spent on designing new caves or something, and instead made the characters fantastic. You’ve got Varric, who is actually me as a dwarf. You’ve got Aveline “Guard-Captain Mom” Vallen. You’ve got Isabella, the pirate queen of my heart. You’ve got Fenris, who lives in an abandoned mansion and doesn’t believe in furniture, only vengeance. You’d got Merrill, who believes in furniture too much. You’ve got Bethany, who is just sweet. And then you’ve got... *reads smudged handwriting* Ann Landers, who is just great with advice, I guess? 

And then Inquisition. I mean, Varric again. The sheer braggadocio potential of a team of Varric, the Iron Bull, and Dorian is brilliant. And Cassandra is all no-nonsense and ready to punch anything in the face as needed. I love Vivienne, because she really made me reconsider my stance on the Circles (from “Shitty” to “Shitty but sometimes necessary”) and that led to some interesting character stuff for my Inquisitor. And all the advisers, they are the best.
