A’IGHT, SO THE CONVENTION WAS AWESOME. As were all the other attractions near the Chicago area that we went to. :D I took lots of pictures of the city that I need to go through and edit, got to see see Lake Michigan (which was cool because it was the first time I looked out over water and wasn’t able to see the opposite shore at all), and was a total loser within a few feet of the members of STEAM POWERED GIRAFFE (which hopefully wasn’t memorable for them fhdsihgjkdshgjfd) and they signed my shirt and took a picture with me in my SPG Fanbot cosplay. Best weekend of my life. The anime stuff was cool too, but I mostly payed attention to the steampunk and cartoon stuff that was there. xD I need to go to more steampunk conventions...

BUT SPEAKING OF COSPLAY, no pictures yet, sorry. I was gonna wear my WIP lawbot suit on the 9th, but ended up skipping that day altogether for various reasons, so rather than putting it on and getting some lame pictures, I’m gonna wait until it’s finished and get some COOL pictures. ;D I have replaced the dress shirt’s buttons, made the bowtie and vest, and am halfway done with the emblem (which unfortunately won’t light up unless i can figure that out gaaaahhhh), but in order to actually make the suit jacket and slacks I gotta find a better pattern. The Burda one i have right now doesn’t have enough instructions for a newb like myself, so I’m gonna look for either a lot of tutorials or a Simplicity pattern instead. No idea when that’ll be done, but the vest only took me a day of work so hopefully the rest won’t take forever either once I sit down and do it.

Sorry to all the ROLEPLAYS that I’ve been just not touching for at least ten days now, I’ll be getting on those ASAP. I’ve got so many of those going right now... That said, I’m still open to more if you hit me up. Just be aware that I am pretty slow on replies, as just about anyone I’ve ever rped with will tell you. I do a lot of other stuff at the same time and my motivation is a fickle thing that I have not yet learned how to whip into submission somehow. I still love roleplaying though, it’s helped me flesh out several characters already. Plus I really love it when my characters interact with other peoples’ characters. <3

I’M STILL WORKING ON THE COMIC I SWEAR. I know updates on it are slow, but it’s already been like eight years in the works now? So I’m not dropping it. Ever. As soon as I finally get out this chapter, the next storyline/chapter is where it should start getting really good, and I’m hella psyched. It’s the original story that I’ve reworked about five times by now, based on that dream I had in like fifth grade which is the reason Mumble and Benny even exist as characters. However stoked I am to start drawing that though, the Coach Z thing actually is necessary. Not only is it really good practice to get me into the swing of making comics (which is actually brand new to me, i’ve never actually sat down and really committed to it before now), but there’s also a semi-important plot point right near the end of it? And a character. I’m 90% sure that he needs a brief introduction, and here be where he gets it. So look forward to that.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY TIPS FOR DOING BACKGROUNDS THEN PLEASE HIT ME UP. If you’ve been reading the tags of the comic pages, I think I’ve said before that I flounder when it comes to making the backgrounds of those things, so if you’ve got any unique/different techniques for that kind of thing and wouldn’t mind letting me know so that I can try some stuff, I would love you forever. I especially struggle with the more geometric stuff (i.e. the interiors of cog buildings fml).

On a side note, I’M WORKING ON UPDATING MY CHARACTER PAGE! The new one will not only be prettier and possibly harder to read if you’re dislexic or have eyes but it will also have ALL of my more developed OCs on it that will either play a memorable role in the comic or that I have/will roleplay with. Some of my more minor characters will also be on there, but they won’t get their own pages to themselves. The new pages for the major/supporting characters, however, are more complete than just the drawing references that are on my current character page. The overview/synopsis/whatever for each character will basically be the same, but the pages also have the character’s tag right there, plus some info about their laff/level, sexuality and gender, and gag tracks. Before I publish the full page, you will be seeing me post a bunch of drawing references for all of the characters that are even mentioned on the new page just like I did for Julian before the hiatus. If you wanna keep count or just have an idea of how many to expect, I’ll be doing a total of I think eleven references for the main character pages (four of which are already done and have been posted at some point), and then several more for the minor characters. I don’t have an exact number there yet oof.

ALRIGHT LAST NOTE, I’M GOING TO BE POSTING SOME BACKSTABBER ADOPTABLES AT SOME POINT. I sketched a bunch of knives a while ago and most of them I thought looked kinda cool, so since I had at least a few interested parties on Discord, I’m going to be finishing some of those designs and giving them brief stories, then posting them here for other people to take because wtf am I supposed to do with all these knife people. I only need two of them wink. I’ll probably make designs for at least three more of them depending on popularity after I get that faceless one started for Summer to do with as she pleases, so be watching for those either this month or the next at the latest methinks.
