I did a thing
Just two shadows who escaped a life of abuse and villainy, now chillin’ together in peace.
All the evil chain accounts— and the latest chapter of The Secrets We Keep— motivated me to draw Shadow again. He’d definitely approve of the evil chain; 10/10.

[He startles, head raising from the blade of grass he'd been staring at for the pass few hours. It's been about a day since he's seen you and he's been bored. He stares at a blade of grass, then another, and has just been at this for hours.]
[He stands up, stretching his back with a yawn. At least he's moving again. He doesn't know what you have planned... But he guesses he'll do anything you tell him to.]
[You can feel him before you see him. Although, the last time you met him, he wasn’t exactly… Ribbon.]
[His magical presence is different than Zomi’s is.]

(He pauses in his walking. They hadn’t seen the other in…A while. Or so it felt like. Time is weird in the wilderness.)
(They turn their head to look for you.)

[He knows what Zomi said. He knows what Zomi wants him to do. And he wants to listen, he really does.]

[She has just been sitting outside the house, against a random tree, but still close enough that she can see the place. Mama doesn't want her too far away for now.]
[Her tongue is itchy. It's healing, but it's unbearably itchy! She holds out her tongue, trying to scratch it the best she can with talon-less fingers.]
[But- something in the air is wrong. Unfamiliar magic. She tenses up immediately. Every person who approaches her seems to want to completely ruin her! Ribbon even broke into her room once, and forced her to use thread magic on somebody. That- that really made it hard for her to want to quit using thread magic.]
[But it hurts people, so she's been doing her best to stop completely. No more thread magic. It's definitely easier said than done.]
[It's easier to hurt people than be nice to them.]
