Collin and Awesomeg are children of neglectful divorced parents and because of that while growing up Collin had to raise Awesomeg alone
In father's days awesomeg would make or buy gifts for Collin because firstly there wasn't a big brothers day and secondly he was the closest thing they had to a father role in their life
And it hurt Collin too deeply when they went missing because he didn't just lose his little sibling; he lost the closest person he had in this world and the closest person he had to a child of his own, he lost his only family that mattered and his only reason to keep going in this world
And it just hurts him even more because he wasn't there with them when they needed help the most, he blames himself for not even realizing or noticing that things weren't going well for awesomeg because people don't just go missing all of the sudden there must be a background to their disappearance and Collin didn't even notice anything when it was happening
Yeah Collin still keeps those gifts he received from awesomeg

So yeah, apart from Dick & Jason who died, the rest of the BatFam are relatively doing well, despite having no connections/relationships whatsoever with each other.
