Ok! This should be most of the actual stories.

Again, most of the content can be found under the little link tag.

Trope. Absolutely my favorite. Love it. So yes. Live with ExVillain!Reader hanging out with the Chain for all eternity!!!

Somewhere in here I’m positive the quote from ‘Wreck it Ralph’ will come in handy.

“Just because I’m a bad-guy doesn’t mean I’m a bad guy.”

There's an evil! reader tag somewhere on this blog. It plays with a similar concept, but also with the idea of reader stepping in for Link for whatever reason (most was that it was Link's older sibling, but I digress).

Reader in this format- oh my god, they killed them with kindness. o.o

Reader would at least have to have lines drawn in the sand, proving how far they're willing to go and no more. Granted, as a villain, there's more options on the table but that doesn't mean they're still not willing to offer in their own two cents.

"We're going to have to kill this guy, Link."

Lucky trembled behind Warriors as his beloved Bubba snarled at the group. They held a sword to Legend’s neck and had a crushing grip on his shoulder.

“Give him back! He belongs to me and I will remove his head if I have too!”

They hadn’t always been like this, possessive, cruel, malicious. Before… before they had been loving. Gentle. Sure they had been confident and firm, but they had never taken their anger out on others. They’d always been the first to smile and reach out.

Now they cut a swathe of blood through the kingdom and kept him locked in that awful castle like a pet bird.

He’d thought he’d gotten lucky when that portal had dropped him amongst a group of other heroes. Heroes who had actually done their duty and not hidden behind their elder sibling and had paid the price for it.

Lucky swallowed. He knew his Bubba was losing what little patient they had these days when the sword dug into Legend’s neck.

He twitched and Legend saw the movement.

“Kid, don’t you dare!”

Lucky fully moved out from behind Warriors who tried to shove him back.

“You’ll let them go if I come home, right?”

A twisted smile crossed his Bubba’s face. “Of course. I always keep my promises remember?”

Lucky tried to suppress a flinch and nodded.

The others tried to protest and Legend tried to struggle but he’d made his choice.

But before he could take even one small step, a harsh rasping voice spoke.

“Butterscotch, you take one step and I’ll ground you.”

Butterscotch?!

The group turned as one and Lucky saw something straight out of a nightmare. Dark slime dripped from a tall gerudo-esc body and piercing eyes stared him down.

Ganon stood in the clearing, alive and with a fearsome sword held in his grip. The others moved around him and even his Bubba had released Legend in shock.

But one thing stood out.

There was only one person who had known his obsession with butterscotch biscuits as a kid. Only one person who called him that.

“You! How did you escape?”

The Gerudo stared down at the only Hylian who wasn’t a hero.

“Ganon. It’s sad that I make a better Demon King than you ever did, bending time and space to escape the trap you put me in. Winning Dark Link’s allegiance for myself. Taking full control of the Triforce of Power.So I’m only going to say this once.”

The ‘Demon King’ pulled his? Their? Sword out.

“Ganon, step away from the heroes and get the fuck out of my body.”

(Basically Ganon and Reader swapped bodies and Ganon trapped Reader and went on to become Evil!Reader. Actual Reader decided that since they had all this power, they might as well use it. Upside is they and Dark Link used Adopt on each other and Reader can use the Triforce of Power without any side effects like going crazy. Downside is they’re trapped in this really gross body.

Reader wants their body back Ganon and they aren’t afraid to kick their own ass to get it.

Everyone else is just very confused.)

I LOOOOVVVEEEEEE TTTHHHIIISSSS

There was a loud clang as two swords collided against each other. Her opponent was smirking wildly and she fought off the nausea to meet the other’s attack.

They separated and her suppressed nausea rose to the surface. She was so busy trying to keep it down, she didn’t notice her enemy lower their sword.

“Hey, aren’t we supposed to be fighting?”

Link glared across the clearing. “We are. Just gonna a sec.”

That resolve lasted for all of a second before she dropped her weapons and bolted for a nearby bush.

Her opponent merely watched with a small frown. “What’s wrong with you?”

Still bent over the bush, she glared again at them. “Nothing! I’m fine!” She was so concerned about her opponent and her nausea that she didn’t notice a hand curled over her belly protectively.

Her enemy did notice and their eyes went wide. “Are you pregnant?!”

Link’s eyes went wide in shock but before she could deny it, the nausea rose again and she threw back up in the bush.

“Wow. That really is some morning sickness.You should probably lay off the world saving for a bit.” There was a sound of a blade being sheathed and a hand started to rub between her shoulder blades.

“I don’t wanna talk about this with you. Can’t I we go back to hitting each other?” Link eventually croaked out, too shaken from the sick to realise that her enemy was now leading her away from the bush and next to a tree.

After being seated under the cool shade of the tree, a hand dug into her magic pouch and pulled out a skin of water.

“I’m not going to fight you. I remember how hard it was.” Stern flat eyes stared Link down as they passed over the water. Link took it numbly.

“You remember? You have a kid?!”

They looked up and sighed. “Yeah. The downfall of believing your first boyfriend as a teen actually liked you and wasn’t just in it for the sex. Fortunately, found that out before I told him about the baby.”

They dropped into the spot next to Link and nudged the water skin.

Link took a sip. “But why the whole..?” She gestured to the sword.

She was given a sad wry smile. “My kid is 6 years old and lives with my Grandma Impa. He likes horses and flowers and braiding flowers into horses’ manes. His name is Link.”

She froze and stared wide eyed as several pieces fell into place. The chain had always known that her opponent had killed Ganon, only to go on and take over Hyrule in a bloody coup.

She heard a snort. “Of course, it’s not like anyone cared he was only 4 when Ganon rose again.” They look at Link with old eyes. “How far would you go for your kid?”

Far. Maybe even too far. The moment her pregnancy had been revealed, she had loved the baby fiercely.

Her opponent nodded. “Good. You’ll need that resolve. I’ll keep Dark Link off your trail.”

“Wait!” She reach out and grabbed a wrist even as the sounds of her fellow heroes drew closer. “Why are you helping him?”

She was given a sharp grin in return. “Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.”

Her opponent vanished into a portal just as Legend and Wild burst through the trees.

Oh my god...

I... have no words....

Evil! Reader a double agent!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Galaxy brain

Just- everyone take this and weep with me.

So Corrupted!Reader wasn’t expecting to wake up after their beloved little brother drove a sword into that thing’s skull and making all their worst nightmares come true. (He’sTooYoungHesTooYoungHesTooYoung) but they did. They woke up after speaking their last words to Link.

“So… Proud… Love…You.”

(Words that will haunt him in his dreams)

But they did. They woke up and saw the bright blue sky for the first time in ten years. They could smell a warm mild aroma, flowers, the wind. The could hear a gentle murmur, birds, leaves, life. They could feel something soft yet firm under them.

“Bubba?”

The most beautiful sight they had ever seen crossed their vision.

Their baby brother, their Link, older, healthy, tears streaming down his face but smiling.

They felt their own tears stream down their face and reached out with a weak hand (a hand covered in twisted ugly pink scarring) and rested it against a warm cheek.

(They’d been burning for so long, they forgot how comforting warmth could be.)

“Hi.”

So Reader now has pink scars all over their body. They don’t look natural but almost like indented wine stains all over their body. Wild can gives some advice about how to deal with them since he’s bound to have a few.

But as far as Reader is concerned?

Lucky is grown, happy and healthy. They can handle a few scars.

Oh my god, can you imagine if Corrupted! Reader's last words, were love you...

IF ANY LINK HEARS THAT THEY'LL TAKE A DIRECT HIT TO THE HEART!!

The Chain didn't have anyone to take their place or to hold it back for them or to tell them that they're proud of them.

So Lucky- hearing this- having to kill them?

It would destroy them all.

So of course they all pitch in to save them.

When Reader wakes up, there's tears all around.

But they all give the sibling's their space.

It won't last long though.

Everyone wants to get to know the one person is all of Hyrule's history to take on their burden and do it with a smile.

The imposter would never have gotten into noogie fights with anyone. And Dark was the one who quietly bought up with Reader that they should change their appearance up slightly. A new hair style and ditch all the jewellery that The imposter liked to wear.

On the other hand, Dark will not stop dropping hints that one of his brothers thinks his older sibling is cute.

Either tell him who it is or drop it all together because he’s starting to suspect all of them now and he wants to spend five minutes not wondering if one of them is making goo goo eyes at his sibling. He just got them back!

Being close with Reader and adopting Lucky as well, means that Dark can harass and mess with the Chain in whatever way he likes as long as he doesn't directly hurt them.

That being said.

Dark Link because the biggest gremlin of them all and pranks everyone.

With the exception of Lucky.

He's his partner in crime.

Dark just teases Lucky that the Chain likes Reader or at least one of them does but he changes the target every week.

But if Reader confides in Dark that they likes one of the Chain he stops his teasing.

On the other hand if Reader lets it slip by Lucky that they like one of the Chain, forget whatever hints Dark Link is dropping Lucky going to hone in that one guy and... it's kinda up in the air then

He could prank them mercilessly and earn his ire by being his enemy at this point- or he could be the ultimate (unfortunate) wing man to Reader and try to set the two of them up together.

Warrior: why did you do that? You should have know a hit like that would have killed you! I would have dodged out of the way! Why-"

Evil reader:" I dont know! Are you happy?! I just-! I didn't plan for it ok?! I always plan for everything! Always! But that time.... I wasn't thinking about myself...."

Warrior: then what were you thinking about?"

Evil reader:"....you."

Warrior huffs, trying to not let them see how that affected them. "Don't take me for an idiot."

"I never hav-"

"I know your kind. You only ever think of yourselves. Why would you ever think of me?"

"I don't know." You take a labored breath and look away. "I seem to only be able to think of you these days. I don't know what's wrong with me."

Warrior chokes on his own spit- not expecting the genuine words spoken by someone he swore he'd be warry of until the very end.

You look back over to him and slowly let your breath out. You both can hear how you strain and it sounds sickly but you're heartbeat is strong and you're alive. "Did you get hurt?"

Warrior grits his teeth- his jaw visibly tensing from the force. "No."

You nod and close your eyes again. "Good. Good."

"Why do you care?"

You hum and it takes a while for you to answer. "Lucky looks up to you." You say in leu of answer his questions out right. "When I'm eventually gone and done away with- someone has to look after him. I'd rather it be you."

"Your brother deserves a better sibling." Warrior spits.

"He does."

"He doesn't deserve you."

"I know."

"He's better off without you." Warrior says words seeped with venom. He doesn't know anymore if he's just trying to hurt you or convince himself once more of these facts. It used to get a reaction out of you- but now?

"I know."

"Doesn't that bother you?" Warrior's hand clench into fists. He doesn't know what's changing.

He hates seeing you like this.

You choke on a laugh and struggle to get yourself calmed down again to peak properly.

Warrior had to stop himself from going over to your side to help out.

"Lucky deserves the world- he deserves a childhood, he deserves a good sibling. I knew I could only give him one of those things. I knew what I was sacrificing when I started going down this road, this path, this journey. Lucky can hate me all he wants. I don't care."

Warrior knows that look.

You're lying.

It's actually first time he's ever seen that look on your face.

That time they broke into Legend’s house for Mulan to flirt with Ravio.

That other time they broke into Legend’s house to flirt with Ravio and raid Legend’s stuff (three guesses who did what and the first two don’t count)

That time they broke into Lon Lon Ranch and went cow tipping

That time they wound up on the roof of the castle in Reader’s Hyrule.

That time they woke up with cool matching sword tattoos.

That time they stole Tetra’s boat (she was honestly just impressed they managed it and didn’t even get mad)

That time they met Twilight at Telma’s and started telling outrageous stories about him (he still can’t look any of the resistance in the eye)

That time they impersonated Warriors for a whole evening and got away with it

That time with the frog (they don’t talk about that)

That time Sky joined them

That time Wild mistakenly assumed that they didn’t know how to ride a bear

That time they started crying over how small Four was (fortunately they stayed at Mulan’s place)

That time they got into an argument over who was cuter, Mulan’s Baby or Reader’s Baby, and then just started crying over how fast their babies were growing up

That time they broke into Legend’s house again and Mulan accidentally proposed to Ravio.

Mulan!Link and DA!Reader have such serious and competent reputations that no one ever believes that any of this happened.
