“I’ll may be going on a trip soon. Sometimes you have to do something drastic to get what you want, y’know? There’s no point fighting your heart.” Gael never did bring himself to cheat on his diet to try the gelato, but he did continue to frequent her shop. Before he potentially “went away” he felt he should at least say goodbye. He didn’t know much about her, but she was special somehow. He could feel it in his gut. Gael had always been drawn to her pretty smile and cozy atmosphere. “You might not see me for a while, but even if that is the case rest easy knowing I’m living my best life. All my sacrifice and hard work just may pay off. Do you think this place will still be here when I get back?” he asks, realizing he may have said too much even now. It wouldn’t be fair to make humans worry about him, especially since there was no way for them to grasp the world he lived in. “I’m just asking because if I do get a chance to return, I’d come see you again.”
