🌻There are times when sorrow grows so deep, it gives birth to a flower - and that flower bears the gentle name:"It's alright"🍀

Some days, when the weight of the world feels too heavy, Berlioz appears — always right on time. Like a quiet guardian angel in fur, he weaves his way through my thoughts and into my heart, purring softly as if to say, "I’ve got you."
His purrs are like tiny vibrations of comfort, tuning my nervous system to a softer, slower beat. It’s as if he knows, without words, how to ease my mind. And every time he curls up by my side, I feel it — the magic of unconditional love, the kind that’s pure and simple, no questions asked.
Berlioz isn’t just a cat. He’s a gift from the universe, sent straight from the heavens to remind me that no matter how uncertain life gets, everything will be okay as long as I have his purring presence beside me. He’s the love of my life, the kind of soul who just knows how to heal without saying a word.
So, if you’re ever lost in the chaos, just remember: you don’t need all the answers. Sometimes, all you need is a cat who loves you, purrs your way, and shows you that, in this moment, everything is exactly as it should be.
Thank you, Berlioz, for being my calm in the storm. 🌟🐾

It’s Saturday. Something strange happened this morning. I woke up at 3am, and feeling like staying awake rather than going back to sleep, I grabbed my phone and began scrolling through a few apps. While scrolling through YouTube, I was presented with a video with an intriguing title and thumbnail, and I tapped it. 10 seconds into the video, I was somewhat mesmerized by what I was seeing. My internal dialogue was saying things like “is this real? Yeah, it looks real. How is this possible? Who the fuck made this?” By the end of the video, I was astounded. Loss for words. Desiring to know more about the contents of the video, I expanded the info section and began reading. Sure enough, the video consisted of a series of live-action images that were generated by an #AI called #MidJourney. Fucking AI.
To talk about this song, I must enter serious, grownup mode: “Everything Will Be Okay” is about coping with biological #determinism. I started reading about biological determinism seven or so years ago and the concept rocked my world. Poof, there goes my bright-eyed perspective.
The general idea is that none of us chose our own genetics. If we did, we’d all be Olympic athletes with the charisma of @bradpittofficial, intelligence of Einstein, and musical prowess of Beethoven. Instead, we’re all pretty severely limited, reducing the number of paths that we can take in life. While we can manipulate our personalities to a certain degree (i.e. be a little smarter by thinking with common sense), our personalities tend to remain relatively static throughout our lives. Some people are born with learning disabilities or physical handicaps, something that more privileged people will probably never fully understand or empathize with.
If interested, the book / audiobook “Free Will” by @samharrisorg sums it up better than I ever could.
After dabbling in bubblegum pop for the 2nd half of GoBoy 3, my original plan was to focus on lyrically driven content for GoBoy 4. The release of this song changed my mind, as the focus on dark lyrics impacted my mental state for months afterwards. Focusing on the dark elements of your own life for long enough can turn you into a neurotic mess (the original song had a 3rd verse the delved darker).
My focus would shift to bubblegum pop from this point forward. Music would be made for enjoyment and catchiness, not necessarily for conveying a message. I don’t regret this shift in focus… yet.
In April, 2021, almost all of GoBoy 3, 4 and 5‘s songs were restructured to be under 3 minutes (preferably under 2m 30s), including this song. In an attempt to increase replay value in this streaming era, most of GoBoy’s songs are now purposely around 2m 20s (excerpts from post 38).
A bass boost was added to songs 37-99 in Nov, 2021, while I was stuck at home with covid. As a result, this song feels more powerful. The bass boost isn’t a simple plugin nonchalantly added to each song. It’s a process that took about 3.5 hours per song, or one whole month to complete all songs. Admittedly, I pushed the bass boost a little too far for some of them. The bass in some songs sounds like a freaking earthquake (unnecessarily pronounced low frequencies 20 - 50 Hz). Might dial that back someday. The bass boost was also applied to every song on GoBoy 6 and beyond (excerpt from post 37).
