Don’t say “prego”
If someone thanks you in Italian saying grazie, the most known answer to that is prego.
The word prego means “I pray/beg” and, it is used as an answer to grazie because it derives from the longer phrase “ti prego di non ringraziarmi” (I beg you not to thank me) that no one says anymore. For this reason, many italian native speakers, perceive it as just a recited formula, not very heartfelt. You can still use it in formal or semiformal environments, but there are more spontaneous alternatives for everyday use.
Di niente!
Figurati!
Ci mancherebbe!
è stato un piacere!
Quando vuoi!
These are different ways to express that whatever you are being thanked for, was not a burden for you, in fact it was nothing (di niente) or even a pleasure (è stato un piacere) and you would do it again anytime they want (quando vuoi)!
Much more effective expressions, aren’t they?

#2 Italian by songs
So let’s continue with our MaNeSkIn learning Italian way.
Song “Moriró da re” - Artist ( does it really has to be written ;) )
„E amore accanto a te, baby accanto a te... io morirò da re”
Amore-amore mio, how to call your bae or whoever you want ( some girls also use it to call their friends ) in more romantic, or sweeter way… isn’t it? It also means love. Also , you can say “Sei un amore “ -which means “you are very gentle and nice”. Sei un amore! <3
Accanto – next. Sounds a Little bit similar to “account„ but pronounced in more melodious way.
A te - to you! (a me, is to me… not so difficult ;))
Io- I. I’ve always was taught that „io” sound is a sound of a donkey , so maybe it can help you to remember it ahaha. But okay, it means I, and In italian it’s not necessary to use it , you can skip it as In spanish.
Moriró- i will die , morire – is to Die, and moriró as you an see is Just In future.
Da re- as king. Well it more likely sounds like „ do Re (mi)…’ but Re means king.
Trust the Process. 🖋️🗒️ Today's an exercise in taking it slow and being okay with that. Slow and steady wins the race, right? 🐢 This week, I learned how to say my age, my birthday, and the time in Hungarian - and learned how to ask those as well. But when it came to the listening exercises, I really struggled. I've got to remember to take it slowly and that I won't necessarily get the answer the first time - and that's okay! It's all part of the process. Switching over to Italian today, where I'll focus on a similar topic. I'm testing a hypothesis that learning similar topics in multiple languages at similar times will help me grow in both areas. What do you think: will it work? How do you keep yourself from getting frustrated with your progress? #languagelearning #langblr #studyblr #langgram #studygram #hungarian #learnhungarian #learnitalian #italian https://www.instagram.com/p/CRYjXP7hOQI/?utm_medium=tumblr
such a lovely Sunday I had! I learned Italian, read an awesome book, drank alot tea, spent almost whole day with my beloved cat Hidan, found a hedgehog, watched the Nature (insects and birds), listened to audiobook and birds’ singing, kept smart discussion with my brother, wore my homemade ‘make a wish’ ring. Stay safe, take care of your mental health and appreciate all these small things, love you all guys!!
