Can you be serious now?
Well. No. Of course:
A robber and a princess.
A girl disguised as a boy. A medieval reimagining of the legend of Robin Hood packed with adventure, sacrifice and romance. Robin Hood, hidden deep in the Sherwood Forest, is fighting to restore the crown to its rightful king, surrounded by faithful friends, green leaves and clear skies. Burdened with secrets, betrayal and an incredible responsibility, he struggles to stay alive and keep the starving people fed. One day, a boy saves him from the Sheriffâs poisoned arrows. Robin, impressed by the slender youthâs courage and skill, takes the boy with him to the forest. Only, the boy is not a boy. In the castle of Nottingham, a maiden who used to be a princess is forced to obey the wishes of a tyrannical Sheriff. She dons on male clothes and trains to become a fierce assassin, vowing to catch the greatest criminal in the kingdom. But when she saves Robin Hoodâs life nearly losing her own, she is rescued by the outlaws. When Robin and the âboyâ meet, two worlds collide, resulting in unimaginable danger and intense romance. Who will survive when they learn each otherâs secrets? What happens when the assassin falls in love with her victim? In the second installment of the Outlaws series, there are more deadly secrets, more pining and more danger to be found. You'll discover the answers to many of your questions from book one, and new ones will keep you at the edge of your seat. Will Robin Hood find out the truth about Ru? Will Robin and Ru kiss? Will they finally share the truth about their origins? Will they stay alive? Will every wrong be made right? Filled with danger, intrigue and slow-burn passion, this is a Robin Hood story unlike any you have ever read before! if you love reading about female assassins, outlawed thieves, slow-sizzle romance, tortured boys and found families, then you'll love the Outlaws Series.
Wait, a series?

wait, what?
Happy release day to âSleep Robin Hoodâ by M.C. Frank!
My review:
âThis is the land of traitors and betrayal. Where fear, hunger and threats reign instead of the king. This is the land of no hopeâ.
Robin Hood and his not-so-merry companion return in the third installment of The Outlaws series by M.C. Frank. As long as the evil Sheriff rules the land, thereâs no peace for them even in their beloved Sherwood forest. There are friends to rescue and enemies to defeat, but who can survive when the long-hidden secrets get revealed?
If I were to describe this book with one word, it would be INTENSE. Itâs not very long, but itâs certainly abounding in action: thereâs an archery competition, a dramatic escape from the Sheriffâs dungeon, there are sword fights, blood, tears, betrayal, and much more. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, you keep worrying about the characters, wanting to know what happens next, but on the other hand - being scared to read the next chapter.
The intensity doesnât apply just to adventures Robin, Ru and their friends are going through, but - what I personally loved the most - to their inner struggles as well, to memories haunting their minds, the feelings motivating them, but also holding them back. A big part of the book contains of Robin and Ruâs inner dialogues, which I absolutely donât mind, because it adds an incredible depth to those characters and makes me love them even more. I love how strong they both are, despite their brokenness, and how they care for the others more than for themselves. They remind me of the verse from 2 Corinthians: âWe are hard pressed on all sides, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyedâ.
I said it many times before, but Iâm gonna say it again: M.C. Frank is an amazing writer. The way she writes about emotions moves me deeply and makes me forget the characters she created arenât real. If you ever wondered if writing can be called art, just read one of her books.
âSleep Robin Hoodâ is a beautifully written, engaging and moving story about justice, forgiveness, love and betrayal. I canât wait for the next book from this series to come out, but I already recommend them all wholeheartedly!

âEvery Wrong Rightâ by M.C. Frank - review
âEvery Wrong Wrightâ is the next book from the Outlaws series by @mcfrankauthorâ, featuring the worldâs most beloved robber - Robin Hood, along with his merry companion, like youâve never seen them before. The action starts right where the first book: âEverything I Doâ, ended (though I highly recommend reading the novella âHoodâ in between, as it contains important information about Robinâs past, which sheds more light on events presented in EWR) -Â the outlaws are on their way to complete an important mission, willingly risking their own lives to help the poor, oppressed by the ruthless Sheriff. Ru has been accepted as on of them, but still no one has a clue what -or who- she's really after. She's running out of time and whatever choice she makes, some wrongs can never be made right.Â
If someone asked me to describe this book using just one word, it would be: EMOTIONAL. Iâve loved Robin and Ru since book one, theyâre both such complex characters who suffered too much and I wish with all my heart for a happy ending for them, so it was painful to read what theyâre going through, but I love it when a book tortures me like this. The POV alternates between those two characters, so we can see whatâs going on in their heads and hearts, and let me just tell you - thereâs a lot going on! Feelings of guilt, pain and hatred are mixed with love, tenderness, hurtful memories and fear for their loved ones. M.C. Frank has mastered the art of writing about emotions in such a beautiful and believeable way, it's easy to forget those characters aren't real. I was also amazed how she managed to push their relationship forward, even though Robin still doesn't know who Ru really is. I think it was my favourite chapter!Â
I said it in my previous two reviews, but I have to say it again - I love how Frank portrayed the whole group of Robinâs companions, how the word âfriendsâ doesnât even begin to cover their relations. Theyâre like a family, an extremely close family, which members deeply care for each other, where they always have each othersâ backs and would give their life for one another without a second thought. Their conversations, both playful and serious, are some of my favourite parts of this book and the whole series.Â
While inner struggles of Robin and Ru play a huge role in EWR, the book is not devoid of action, so if you like medieval-style fight scenes, you wonât be disappointed. The book also shows that not every battle is fought using swords and arrows, but sometimes words can be a powerful weapon, too.Â
âEvery Wrong Rightâ is truly a great book, which not only breaths new life into the legend of Robin Hood, but also conveys a beautiful message, especially important in those strange times weâre living in. I recommend the whole Outlaws series with all my heart and Iâm impatiently waiting for the next book!

âHoodâ blog tour!
Iâm happy and honored to participate in a blog tour with @mcfrankauthorââs newest book - âHoodâ. Itâs a novella, book 1.5 in The Outlaws series, which retells the story of Robin Hood and his merry companion.
The synopsis
âWe are probably going to die today,â said John. âIâm aware,â Robin replied. âBut then again, weâre constantly going to die.â âSo what youâre saying is,â Alis hissed behind them, âthat youâre used to being about to die.â âMore or less,â Will Scarlet replied, rare laughter in his voice. âThe excitement is gone.â
Meet Robin Hood's band of outlaws. Their story starts with Christmas, a lost love, a hungry town and a robbery.
In this Outlaws novella, Robin Loxley is a tortured young man mourning the loss of his title, his lands and his first love. Tonight, with the help of his close friends, he will get a new name that will live in history, a cat that could care less that Robin happens to be the most brilliant archer in medieval England, and a chance to prove himself by rescuing a lady from a fire.
But this is no ordinary lady...
And that is no ordinary fire...
HOOD is a prequel novella to the beloved bestselling Outlaws series by M.C. Frank.
My review
Have you ever wondered where the alias Robin Hood came from? M.C. Frank has the answer for you, in her âHoodâ novella, which belongs to The Outlaws series. The first installment - âEverything I Doâ, breathed new life into the character of the famous thief and his merry companion, and in âHoodâ we get the chance to get to know them a little better.Â
This novella takes place a few months before the events in EID, but I think itâs better to read it after, when youâre already familiar with Frankâs versions of those beloved characters. For me it provided a better, deeper experience.
In âHoodâ we get to spend one day with Robin and his friends - no ordinary day, but a Christmas Eve. They go on a quest to do what theyâre famous for - to help the poor, but the day turns out to be far more eventful than they expected, reminding Robin of painful events from his past.Â
Once again I was enchanted by Frankâs beautiful writing, perfectly adjusted to the time period sheâs set her story in. But what I loved the most were the interactions between the Robinâs companion - theyâre so close they seem to read each otherâs minds, and together they work as one body, each part of which has its own role. Their situation is far from perfect, but still they like to laugh and tease each other, like a true family.Â
Another part I loved was Robinâs memories about a girl he loved. They're painful, but so beautiful and pure! Whenever M.C. Frank writes a romantic scene, I swoon and my eyes get teary from all the feels! As a believer, I also noticed a few gems in this story that warmed my heart.
'Hood' is a fast-paced, adventure-packed novella about friendship, fighting injustice, lost love, and about a legend being born. Robin Hood truly is a prince of thieves - he managed to steal my heart twice!Â

The Robin Hood Diaries (25) â Book 2
After a *heated* game on instagram (x) the title of the Robin Hood Book Two was revealed: Itâs Every Wrong Right (EWR).
Here are the characters weâll see shine get tortured in this second installment in the Outlaws series (the series will span about 6 books!)
*Disclaimer: The character reference images below have been cropped out of artwork to which I do not own the rights. All of their creators are credited here.
C H A R A C T E R S  of  Every Wrong Right - OUTLAWS BOOK 2
Ru: An assassin who has inflitrated the camp of outlaws posing as a boy. Not everyone has been fooled. Plus, sheâs fallen in love with her intented victim. Sheâs in for a world of pain.
Robin: A young baron turned outlaw after his fatherâs enemies left him in a dungeon to rot. Heâs fighting to make âevery wrong rightâ but there are so many wrongs and heâs so tired and feels so guilty for every single life thatâs lost on his watch. He is a Sotf Boy⢠who is a genius with the bow and arrow, and loves a cat named âFoxâ. Â
Tuck: Of half Chinese descent, an ex-monk who had his fingers cut off for doing non-monkish stuff. He can kill you with a single swing of his staff, but looks deceptively lean and wickedly handsome. He gets to be called âold manâ because heâs over 30 and this is, well, the Middle Ages.
John: A giant of a warrior with blonde braids that reach the middle of his back. Fiercely protective of Robin and his two young children, who heâs had to hide away with friends, because heâs an outlaw. He is NOT going to let anyone lay a finger on Robin, be it man or woman. Yet he is harboring dark secrets of his own. Deadly ones, to be precise.
Will: Too young, too sad, too tortured. Heâs been through much more than anyone ever should in an entire lifetime. Heâs an orphan with the advanced warrior skill of Robin Hood (they grew up as brothers and trained together) and the soul of a poet. Danger follows him around, but to be honest, Will follows it first. He is suffering from sever PTSD, and is hiding from everyone the fact that heâs suicidal. They know.
Alis: A wealthy lady that Robin rescued from a gruesome wedding ceremony to an old man. Sheâs deadly with the bow and the sword, and fiercely protective of all the men. She mothers them to death, and they protest, but secretly love it. She hides her golden braid inside a hood, a fact that every member of the outlaw gang hates with a passion.
Julian: Red-haired and multi-talented, otherwise known as My Poor Boy. Heâs the Intelligent⢠one, the brains behind the band of outlaws who fight against evil. Unfortunately, heâs been shackled in the Sheriffâs dungeon for the past 5 or more years, and is currently a shadow of his former shelf. He gets beaten up daily, and is hanging onto life by a mere thread.
Gilbert: A member of the Sheriffâs elite personal guard, Gilbert is the eyes and ears of Robin in the castle. Insanely loyal and protective of his chief. His real name is Galib. Heâs a mountain of muscle and heâs black. His fondest wish is to follow the outlaws in the forest, but Robin needs him in town, so that he can spy for him. Hopefully, he wonât get caught. (We all know what *hopefully* means, right?)Â
Ximena: A beautiful Arab woman, who has been raised in an English convent, and is now in great danger in the Sheriffâs household. A brief meeting with Robin and his band of outlaws is her last hope. That is, if she survives long enough to be rescued.
Alan: Singer, song-writer, jester. Extremely clever and amazingly annoying. He makes his first appearance in EWR and, well...for such a smart dude, he does some really, really dump stuff. Maybe thatâs because heâs used to constanly living in danger and doesnât give a damn anymore. That, plus heâs a reckless and handsome devil. Exactly what the band of outlaws need right now, when everything is about to fall apart in a BIG WAY.
These are the Outlaw Series heroes of course (or anti-heroes in a few cases). The villains are a cast all on their own, and I might introduce them in a future Robin Hood Diary entry!

Mental health check-in:Â
Mostly ok, but having a few really bad days in-between that drain me of energy. Trying to manage my diet better, because that really helps. Also going to the pool twice a week (sometimes three times a week) which helps so much.
Self-destructive thoughts and tendencies are soaring. Must do something about that, though. Getting in touch with friends is the only thing that helps.
Have been dealing with bullies a lot for some reason, mainly online, but once in my place of employment too. (I quit shortly after, because there was physical violence involved). Therefore, I have been a little bit blocked with writing, not for ideas or anything, but feeling so hated that I couldnât write. Writing sprints and the dude helped me with that, and Iâm in a good place right now.
Watching:
