HEADCANONS –

The Winx are everything to Flora. She credits so much of how far she’s grown to them and can’t believe how lucky she is to have such incredible friends. The brunette has a tendency to succumb to her insecurities (both with her abilities and in everyday life.) It holds her back from realizing her full potential, so she really appreciates the Winx being there to lift her up and boost her self-esteem. If you ask Flora, she’ll tell you they’re a family. And, like families do, the group argues every once in a while. Flora is very non-confrontational when it comes to her friends. Whenever there’s a tiff, she struggles to express herself because she doesn’t want to start a fight. She is a peacekeeper at her core. And because of that, Flora almost always ends up in the middle. She’s just very good at seeing both sides!

As a nature fairy, Flora is kind of a flower herself. At least, that’s how she perceives herself. She relies on nature to show her the right path. Being as sensitive as she is to plants and living things, Flora empathizes with them on very deep level that many may not understand. She can tell when they’re in distress, if they’re over or under-watered, when they need repotting or new soil… the list goes on and on. Their mood and energy even affects her directly. The abuse/destruction of nature is physically and mentally taxing to Flora; and the girl does not do well in places with an absence of nature. At all. 

Peace, tranquility and compassion are three of Flora’s core values. It’s not uncommon for her to get a little overwhelmed in places/situations where they’re disturbed. She’ll share her meditations and yoga practices with anyone who’s interested and she absolutely adores helping people. Almost to a fault.She might not notice when she’s being taken advantage of because she’s so happy and eager to lend a hand.

Flora battles with a strong sense of justice, but also a strong desire and natural connection to harmony. She tries her absolute best to achieve both when some sort of creature gets loose or trouble arises. Don’t get her wrong, she won’t turn away mischief to avenge her friends as long as no one gets hurt. If you happen to cross a Winx, don’t be surprised to find a particularly troublesome breed of blossom filling your bedroom with wild vines and a ghastly smell.

The fairy can be a bit of a pushover sometimes. Especially when it comes to people she cares about. At Alfea, Flora typically was the one who wanted to follow the rules if something went awry. She lovesss learning and takes pride in being a good student (no matter how often Stella calls her a nerd for it.) Her friends however… well, they usually wanted to investigate whatever trouble occurred. Needless to say, Flora was convinced easily enough to follow along with them.

Flora positively adores art and poetry, and the fairy is a huge romantic at heart. Whenever she has a crush, a sort of calm panic overcomes her as she overthinks/reads into absolutely everything. Their energy. What they did and didn’t do. The poor girl gets so tongue tied that she can barely even get a word out. It’s not uncommon for Flora to coerce one of her more forward friends to talk to the person for her and get some intel on how they’re feeling.

Her mother was pretty controlling. Didn’t like her going off to Alfea. She was very passive aggressive and emotionally demanding. Flora loves her home, and she loves her family, but she wants to be a flower in her own garden, not someone else’s.

Holds her yoga sessions outside whenever possible. Most times she won’t even use a mat when she does as she’d rather take the time to ground herself on the grass.

One of those people who, when she tidies up, things get twice as messy before they actually get clean.

HEADCANONS –

Amelia is an extraordinarily capable woman decorated with many esteemed titles and impressive achievements. Chief among them her Green Badge of Honor from her time as a Terran Royal Navy Officer. She was the youngest spacer to ever be made a captain, and a renowned one at that. She was also the youngest captain ever to resign. More free-spirited than people may think, Amelia left the Navy to command the solar galleon, the RLS Legacy. Whenever people question this decision, she typically echoes the same ambiguous reply with a proud smile to follow: “The Navy was big on protocol. I was big on results.” She even had a solar surfer in her youth.

If a friend were to tell you to think of a ship captain, you most likely wouldn’t picture someone quite like Amelia. Maybe an intimidating, well-built man would come to mind (don’t make her laugh), or perhaps even a roughish pirate (though you’d do well not to bring up those barbarians to her). But how about a very well kept lady in some killer thigh-high boots and painted lips? Yes, that’s more like it. Amelia is always put together. Even on her off days. The only time her crew has ever spotted a stain or a wrinkle in her uniform was at the end of whirlwind battle or expedition. Gravity under her heel.

Amelia considers the various scars that litter her body her “resume.” That star shaped mark on her shoulder? A laser wound from an enemy pistol. The stripe across her knee? A nasty cut from a solar storm that engulfed an allied ship going down. The streak on the side of her ribs? That one’s special. When she looks at that particular scar, Amelia doesn’t think of herself. She thinks of, in her words, “the most hopelessly unorthodox, dysfunctional and unseemly crew I’ve ever captained.” The motely team she found Treasure Planet with. The motely friends that she grew ever so fond of. 

Learning has consistently been of great importance to Amelia ever since she was a little girl. She’s very inquisitive by nature and finds awe and interest practically everywhere. It’s one of the reasons for her quick wit and strong vocabulary. She’s amassed quite the collection of knowledge over the years. Areas such as astronomy, astronautical engineering and astrophysics were imperative to her successes in her line of work, but the “astros” were only scraping the surface of her insatiable thirst to learn. To this day, she remains an avid reader. Her library history is unpredictable and vast. One day you might catch her on her break reading a book on geology and the next a nail-biting adventure. It keeps her on her toes. The library staff as well.

There are some habits that grew into Amelia’s routine and personality from her experience in the Navy that have followed her to Evermore. The woman is always organized and punctual. Her bed is always neatly made the second she’s out of it. A Healthy diet and exercise are high priority in addition to keeping her skills, brain and instincts sharp. These habits are all well and fine, but there are some more harmful ones that cling to her. For one, Amelia keeps her cards close to her chest when it comes to emotions. She’s supposed to be the strong, tough, reliable leader that people look up to. It’s intuitive at this point for her to suppress feelings that might deem her weak or vulnerable. When she lost her first mate and the best friend she ever had that fateful day on the Treasure Planet voyage, she beat herself up behind closed doors more than anyone could ever guess. Sure, she put up a front for the crew and spoke some fine words, but the moment she returned to her captain’s quarters she was in shambles. To this day, she’s still distraught over his death and often ruminates over what she could have done to save him.

HEADCANONS –

Tambry’s home life, in her own words, “majorly sucks.” Her parents were pretty middle of the road when it came to income, but they never actually acted like parents. Honestly they more so acted like teenagers. Maybe that’s where she got it from. They got into big blow outs all of the time, fighting and screaming at each other (especially when fueled by alcohol), only to make it all up to each other in the bedroom the next day. Much to Tambry’s disgust. Aside from this, they never really wanted a kid. Tambry was just the product of one of their frequent “apology sessions.” Ever since she was little, she was kind of just pushed aside. Never had any wholesome family memories. Never actually felt genuinely loved. Her parents would just occasionally buy her something in hopes that she would occupy herself not cause any issues. Naturally, having parents like this made Tambry act out a lot growing up until she ended up resenting them completely and avoiding them whenever possible. Her house in Gravity Falls is not a home to her, which is why she hung around Wendy’s so much. Nonetheless, it was a great place to throw parties when her parents were away.

The Gravity Falls gang is who Tambry considers her real family. Wendy especially is pretty much like a sister to her. The two were practically attached at the hip ever since they could ride tricycles. Their little group is full of weirdos, but they’re her weirdos. She goes along with their stupid shenanigans. Chanting to convince someone to do a stupid dare. Constantly filming their bizarre, spontaneous games they come up with. Tambry has all these amazing memories locked and loaded on her phone and on piles of SD cards. Crazy parties. Hilarious moments of reckless behavior. She loves looking back them, especially in her bed at the end of the day. Her friends fill a void that her family never did, and Tamrby is actually a little more sentimental than she’d ever let on. 

Tambry definitely has, as that one TikTok trend would put it, “scary dog privilege.” Girl’s got major RBF. It’s out of her control. She’s got this intimidating quality to her that can be a little off putting at first. She likes it though. Tambry’s not exactly built for the weak anyway. The girl is extremely blunt, even more so in her mass amounts of status updates. Her personal style only adds to all this. The bold, pink color in her hair. The dark eye makeup. The many ear piercings. She’s this unique blend of goth, emo and scene all wrapped up into one and toned down a bit. Not totally out there but definitely a head turner from the norm. Tambry started getting into this personal style of hers when she was young and experimenting with clothes and makeup. Once she realized it realllyyy pissed off her parents, she was sold.

This girl is not a great rule follower. Definitely on that “better to ask forgiveness than permission” type beat… except it’ll be a half-assed apology as opposed to a genuine one, but better than nothing, right? That’s how you get good content after all. How many people could say they broke in to a condemned, rumored to be haunted convenience store and had a food fight? Tambry can. Of course, she’s not usually the ring leader when it comes to dumb ideas like that, but she goes along for fun. She typically instigates smaller chaotic acts here and there and never operates alone when she does.

HEADCANONS –

Zarina’s pixie dust alchemy has combined with human chemistry upon getting trapped in Evermore. What she’s been focused on as of late is trying to find a way to create more pixie dust, whether synthetic or pure. Maybe even blue pixie dust! She only has so much left of her supply from Pixie Hollow… but she’ll be damned to let her passion trickle out when she’s come so far. 

Most fairies have their reservations of the ocean to some degree, other large bodies of water included. Zarina wasn’t any different. Wet wings made for a downed fairy, and in extreme conditions the loss of their wings entirely. But of course, Zarina being Zarina, she had her curiosities about the sea. She daydreamed about what all could be dwelling in such intense, expanse oceans and trenches. Mermaids. Monsters. Magic? Maybe. Eventually the water grew on her after running away from Pixie Hollow and spending so much time on ships and boats. Now she seeks it out when in need of peace or inspiration. 

Zarina has always been very independent and more than comfortable with her own company. However, her severe trust issues and growing loneliness are at a constant war inside her mind. Not to mention that she’s always in survival mode. The other fairies seem to have grown accustomed to Evermore, getting cozy and building a life. Zarina doesn’t really have that luxury. Stealing things just to get by typically burns bridges before she can build them. She’s learned to keep her talents to herself since people have only ever used her or thrown her to the curb because of them.

Did you know crows bring “gifts” to people who share morsels of food and kindness with them? Zarina does. Crows are misunderstood creatures, just like her. They’re also probably the purest friends she currently has. Zarina regularly feeds the crows that loiter outside of her very small apartment. Occasionally they bring her gifts. “little treasures” as she prefers to call them. Dropped coins, lost earrings, small pebbles, etc. She keeps the more interesting items in a little box under her bed. One time a crow even brought her a one-hundred dollar bill… that was a really good week for her. 

Zarina often adds little braids into her hard-to-tame lion’s mane. Sometimes she even weaves in little feathers, charms, hair cuffs or whatever else catches her fancy. Scarves and bandanas are also very common. But beware: if Zarina asks to borrow a hair tie, you’re not getting it back. More than likely she’ll accidentally snap it before you remember to ask for it back. Be gentle with her though, it’s not her fault. Blame her hair. 

This girl is super crafty and creative in more ways than one. In the traditional sense, Zarina without fail customizes and personalizes a lotttt of her things. Her favorite is her lab coat and smock. Whenever she has free time, Zarina will add some scrappy embroidery to the fabric or glue sea glass to the edges. In the less traditional sense, while she hates all of their guts, she learned a lot from the crew that betrayed her. Pickpocketing, sneaking around, resourcefulness, fashioning a good lie and even knowing how to work a knife. Well, sort of. She has surprisingly great aim.
