Ever had lost her son in the Uprising but managed to squeeze her own sorry ass past, eventually survivors guilting herself into returning five years later - not looking for him, per se, moreso just trying to figure out what the fuck happened, but it had popped up in her head like wishful thinking
and then she proceeded to get into societal beef with giant borzois. and yelled at by a sea serpent. and turned paraplegic by a bird. and eaten alive,, look the main plot ain't about her i had to get her out of the way somehow
(after what you'd consider chapter 1 here the lift broke and fell on its own (it was really crummy because Flynn's fat ass got ontop of it during the Uprising and THEN it had to hold an entire monster exodus downward) and her fate was sealed from there because there was no other way to get up and out)
i have semi severely altered the only first three chapters i left in canon too so,,, maybe i will have to yap about that too god knows i think i'm just rambling to a wall at this point

idk late night oc chitchat made me appreciate Weverly Mason more and i brought up to a friend that maybe Ban didn't want Ever to die cause she reminded him of her (nothing going on with Uthman and Weverly btw reminder all the founders were just very close friends). Wev has her own small diverging lore piece aside from cowering in the corner back when Uthman was still alive and i will be making a short comic of it... someday...
