How Could I Forget You? Gwen Stacy x Reader - Alternative Universe No Way Home - Spider-Woman
Summary: How could you ever really forget Gwen Stacy?
Request: Here me out, what if you write about Gwen being in Peter’s situation at the end of No Way Home? But have a happier ending in which reader remembers Gwen?
"This time, make everyone forget, make everyone forget who Gwen Stacy is. Make everyone forget... me." Gwen begged Doctor Strange, who shook his head.
"No."
"But it would work right?" Gwen's voice was frantic as she asked,
"Yeah, it would." Doctor Strange admitted, but he didn't want to do it.

"Y/n..." Gwen's voice was wracked with sobs as she found you standing at the bottom of the Statue of Liberty.
"It's okay, it's okay. I love you Gwen, even if I forget you, I know I'll still love you, how could I ever really forget you, Gwen Stacy?" It took everything in you to stop your voice from shaking, but Gwen could see your eyes filling with tears.
"There's no other way-"
"Find me. Find me and tell me who you are, I'll remember, I'll never stop loving you, Gwen." You affirmed, your hands going to Gwen's cheeks as you stared into her eyes, pressing your forehead to hers.
"I love you." You whispered as Gwen closed her eyes, opening them to find you were gone.

A shiver ran down Gwen's spine as she carried the small box of what she had left to the apartment she'd managed to rent with what money she had left.
In the box included: a copy of your favourite book, her drumsticks, GED textbooks, (since her high school record was erased), and one of your hoodies you'd left with Gwen before everything.
Placing the book on the wobbly nightstand, Gwen sighed as she realised her bookmark was gone. A strip of photos of you both, the final one being you kissing Gwen's cheek, Gwen's face full of queer panic.

Doning her Spider-Woman suit, Gwen pulled up her hood as she began to swing through the streets to the small bookshop where you worked.
"Get away from me!"
Gwen heard your shout before she saw you, seeing you being backed into a wall by someone clad in a red tracksuit and balclava pointing a gun at you.
"Shut it, or I shoot-" the tracksuit didn't even get a chance to finish their sentence as a web snatched the gun from their hand.
All you saw was a blur as the tracksuit landed on the ground, unconscious, with a white, black and pink themed spider-hero having taken them out.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
A frown crossed your face as you stared at the spider themed vigilante, but something about their voice made your stomach twist.
"You... saved me again."
Gwen's eyes widened as the base of your skull ached slightly.
"Again?" Gwen whispered, reaching out hesitantly as your index and middle fingers rubbed at your temples, trying to qwell the ache.
"Are you-" Gwen froze as you gently reached out to her, feeling like you were staring into her soul as you looked through her lenses, even though you couldn't really see her eyes.
"Gwen?" You whispered, but the police sirens had her fleeing the scene, however, you had a feeling you'd see her again.

Hours later, it was near closing time for the little bookshop, as you went through each row of books, noting stock down as the last prospective customers had left.
The bell's ring as the door opened had you turning your head slightly, wondering if your manager would serve them or tell them the store was closed.
"Hey stranger..."
Her voice had you dropping your clipboard, turning around on the step stool to see that she had caught it with ease.
The blonde haired girl with an undercut and pink tips, the eyebrow piercing, the off-white Empire State University hoodie that, that was actually yours? You could tell by the way the drawsting was missing both of the aglets, but one end was dyed pink.
Your eyes widened at the memory.
You were dyeing Gwen's hair when you got the pink dye on the drawstring of your hoodie, so you took it off, forgetting it on Gwen's couch.
Gwen. Gwen Stacy. The love of your life.
"Um..." Gwen's face was full of panic as she began to overthink, assuming you didn't really remember her.
That was until you jumped off of the step stool, Gwen's spider-sense tingling as she caught you with her hands under your thighs. Your legs wrapped around her waist as your arms went around her shoulders, pressing your forehead to hers.
Gwen's eyes widened for a moment before you pulled her into a kiss, humming at the familar feeling of Gwen's lips on yours, the memories flooding your mind.
"Wait, wait, you remember?" Gwen whispered, her glassy eyes staring into yours as you smiled.
"How could I ever forget you, Gwen Stacy?"
