MOCKINGJAY ERA:

The arena gets infiltrated by The Rebels This marks the start of The Rebellion and is effectively Day One.

Interviews throughout this era can be found in the designated discord channel.

On Day 18, the victors' purge occurs, which sees the untimely end of twenty victors.

On Day 26, the District Eight mission begins. By Day 35, the District is bombed.

On Day 47, the ashes of District Twelve is remain. Katniss and co visit the District for a second time to shoot propos. Details pertaining to this mission can be found in the character announcements channel.

On Day 48, Cinna and Portia are put on trial. Portia denounces The Rebels; Cinna's fate is sealed.

On Day 57, Peeta Mellark gives his final interview with Caesar Flickerman. He warns Katniss Everdeen of an impending threat on District Thirteen.

By Day 58, propos are readily appearing on Capitol airwaves.

Between Days 58 and 59, the captives face their final act of terror by the government.

On Day 60, The Rebels finally infiltrate The Capitol. The captives are rescued but Brutus Steele is amongst the casualties.

On Day 71, Gleam of District One suffers a fatal injury within her home district. This act of violence was allegedly done by The Rebels.

On Day 83, The Capitol destroys a section of nourishment that District Thirteen relies on as a direct result of propos continuing to air in Panem.

On Days 91 through 99, The Rebels aid District Four. Special Ops destroy food supplies meaning to be shipped to The Capitol. This is something intended to be hidden from common Rebels. More will be released in the character announcement channel.

On Day 101, all food from District Four is recalled as a number of Capitolites get poisoned. More details to come.

On Day 109, District Nine falls to The Capitol after a public trial.

On Day 126, District Six follows, leading to traveling difficulties.

On Day 130, a riot occurs during one of the lunch slots at Thirteen due to tightening ration restrictions. Those who were there at that hour faced a mandatory 72 hour stay with their designated sleeping quarters while investigations took place. The lack of resources there is starting to become felt more than ever. More details to come.

On Days 147 through 161, The Rebels fight hard within District 2. District 2 falls to The Rebels, but not before The Nut is destroyed.

On Day TBD, Cord Falto leaks Capitol information and proceeds to receive house arrest. More details to come.

On Day TBD, Capitolites get invited to a surprise Rebel party, where their loyalty will be tested. More details to come.

On Day 168, Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta get married, making for excellent propos. More details to come.

The night of day sixty soon turns into day sixty-seven of the rebellion. A week flies by quickly. Rebel forces were able to make their way through the tribute center with minimal casualties, saving each captive as well as Calista Hearting, Natalia Morrissey, Sarah Kline, and Tiberius Germaine. Most of the list freely roam District Thirteen now.

Wind of the security breech has also made its way around The Capitol. It's broadcasted that the insurgence has kidnapped tributes, victors, and elites to suffer the same fate that Thea Ellis had previously warned Panem about. This has shaken many, especially those who reside in The Capitol. Nobody other than those on the ground truly know what happened the night of day sixty.

Hours before a majority of Panem knew it, the rebels began enacting phase one of their plan to overthrow the Capitol. This involved saving as many people as possible before the government’s military had a chance to bomb District 8 and 12. Gale and Cael boarded a hovercraft at a discreet location and commenced an evacuation of their home district, knowing that phase two of the rebellion’s plan would light a fuse and set war in motion. Over one thousand people were brought to District 13: approximately 700 from District 8, 600 from District 12, 100 from District 3, 100 from District 4, 100 from District 11, and 50 from District 6. With District 13’s limited resources, they could only transport the refugees in waves, wearing them thin.

Broadcast to all of Panem through the Hunger Games, Ezra hunted down his fellow tributes one by one, leaving them to suffer rather than finishing them off. That was what most viewers thought they were witnessing. Instead, he was brought to near exhaustion trying to save them by carving out their trackers before a hovercraft arrived to take them out of the arena. While he was doing so, Juniper toiled against time to finish her contraption of wires that would open up a hole in the arena. Watching intently, Plutarch Heavensbee had already slipped from the Gamemakers’ control room and was already headed to District 13 before the clock struck 8 o’clock, triggering the lightning trap and disabling the force field.

The Gamemakers had no time to prepare, but the instant the arena’s cameras cut off from the power outage, an outraged President Snow commanded the Peacekeepers to make haste and get a handle on the situation before they lose all sense of power and organization. Some swarmed the arena and others at the Capitol worked to gather those who were not native to the region, such as the victors and lottery winners. Rebels who were privy to the plan of destroying the arena also knew of assigned pickup locations for transportation to a district once believed to be decimated, and they told as many trustworthy people as they could. They managed to board a hovercraft and were brought to District 13. A few who were thought to be Capitol loyalists were still taken there, but not without being heavily monitored and placed in cells at their arrival.

The rebels have reached the point of no return. As all of Panem watched the live feed of the Hunger Games go to black, uprisings started to break out throughout the nation. Snow ordered airstrikes to quell the districts’ fury; the population of the districts inordinately outnumbered the Capitol. He chose to remind every insubordinate that he could easily wipe them all out if need be.

Amidst all the chaos, not all those who were disloyal to the Capitol were able to reach one of the pickup points for being flown to District 13. The Peacekeepers apprehended them before they were able to escape to the rebellion’s base of operations. Stripped of their clothes and belongings, these prisoners were only kept alive as collateral if the unruly districts refused to give in to President Snow’s demand for surrender or used as pawns for propaganda. Though, they would not be held hostage without undergoing punishment. They were tortured for answers. Brainwashed or beaten into an allegiance to President Snow. The captives’ loved ones wondered whether they were alive or dead. And they would be left wondering until Caesar Flickerman would host his exclusive interviews, but not before it is ensured the interviewees understood or believed in the script that would be fed to them. A script that contained elaborate words pandering to the Capitol.

President Snow with his blindly loyal military took measures to prevent a siege of the Capitol. Alma Coin, President of District 13, helped orchestrate the plan to begin Capitol takeover by first dismantling the very symbol of Snow’s power over Panem: the Hunger Games. But her plan is nowhere close to being over, and cannot be completed without the aid of those who believed in the rebellion’s cause. President Coin sought to sway the opinion of the people to her side. Hope was useless. Sheer determination was what brought change. She only needed to ignite the fire within the people of Panem to bring about that change.

The Second Rebellion has officially begun! Although this event begins on August 1st, it does not have a definitive end date yet and will be decided through the consensus of all members. However, the event will be the longest one yet as wars tend to take years before any peace and order is reached. Please tag any posts relating to this event with #eventideevent04. In the roleplay, this event officially begins at the point when all muses have had a chance to settle in their new environment for a few days. Specifically, it will be four days from when the arena was destroyed. Any thread involving them getting to their chosen location can still be roleplayed but should be tagged with #eventidepast.

The Third Quarter Quell. Within the hour, the 75th Hunger Games will commence. Decades since the creation of the Games by Casca Highbottom and Crassus Snow, the annual event still continues to serve as a grave reminder of the importance in the relationship between the Capitol and the surrounding districts. One cannot thrive without the other. And tributes are a necessary sacrifice to maintain this symbiosis. Otherwise, the indignant will incite a rebellion and crack the nation's foundation, threatening the peace and burying everyone beneath the rubble left by war. At least, this is what President Snow implicitly claims. But this year is unique. An older pool of individuals are given an opportunity to demonstrate their survival skills against the elements, creatures, and each other. All eyes are watching as history is made.

The Tributes. Days ago, they were chosen or were brave enough to volunteer for the Hunger Games. Plucked from their homes and delivered to the Capitol, they told their stories to millions and displayed their abilities to the Gamemakers. Now they wait. Unsure if what they’ve proven so far will translate into the harsh, unforgiving reality of the competition. What came before was practice, now they will see if their training scores are a true reflection of their versatility. The anticipation is palpable, air thick with the uncertainties that lie ahead. Hours turn into minutes. The tributes spend their last few moments before the beginning of the Games saying farewell to their mentors and prep teams. May the odds be ever in their favor.

The Capitol. Within the homes of the incredibly affluent, celebrations do not cease; the Capitolites grow pink with their excitement and from their drinks. Children run amok carelessly, play fighting with toy weapons. Holographic screens light up and count down the seconds before the start of the Hunger Games, the title card flashing bronze and gold. Voices hush as the countdown nears zero. At the start of the Games, the bets placed on tributes will finally turn over some results. And depending on whom the Capitolites wager against, they either cheer or sigh in disappointment when someone perishes in the arena. Some donate to sponsorships, increasing a tribute’s chances of survival and, more importantly, their own chances of making their pockets fuller. No different than the decades prior, this is a game of life or death, and only the rich are having fun.

The Rebellion. Right under the noses of the arrogant and elitist, a growing group of rebels are toiling against the constraints of time and the threat of failure. Risks are high, towering over them, looming and foreboding. Everything has to go right. Everything. Or all they’ve done will come to nothing. And the reign of President Snow, his power gained through fear and intimidation, will continue to terrorize the innocent. But enough is enough. Most will give their lives if it means a free world for future generations. Just as the Hunger Games marks the beginning of tyranny through punishment, it will also spark the end and make way for a new beginning. Through a plan rebel leader Plutarch Heavensbee helped develop, millions will witness the start of the revolution during the live broadcast. But everything must go right first.

The Rest. Those who do not align with either side are wedged in between the colliding forces. Between stagnation and change. A war is coming. And they must choose a side or risk being caught in the crossfire.

The 75th Hunger Games has officially begun! This event will last from July 10th to July 31st. Please tag any posts relating to this event with #eventideevent03. Any thread involving this event that is written after July 31st should also be tagged with #eventidepast. In roleplay time, the Games will last a week until it is interrupted, but please hold off on roleplaying or mentioning the rebellion's sabotage of the arena. A future plot drop will be announced for the start of the Second Rebellion led by President Alma Coin.

For tributes, feel free to write drabbles about their time in the arena or create threads between fellow tributes. All other muses are still viewing the Hunger Games at the Capitol. They will also pick a side, the Capitol or the rebellion, or remain passive to the upcoming revolution.

Caesar Flickerman, the Master of Ceremonies, strode into view with his arms exuberantly raised in the air, vibrant hair coiffed up toward the ceiling. Harnessing the energy of the crowd that cheered him on, he beamed with a smile almost as bright as the spotlights that illuminated him. A catchy anthem invigorated his every step.

Today was crucial. All of Panem would learn more about those who were reaped, but not from outside information. No, directly from the tributes themselves. Fortunately, Caesar had a knack for bringing out the personalities of even the driest of people during his famous interviews. He had to if it meant winning them the hearts and donations of sponsors.

While the tributes waited in line to be ushered onto the stage and be scrutinized by a restless audience as well as those who watched from home, Caesar greeted the viewers with the following charismatic introduction:

“Ha ha ha ha! Thank you. Thank you, everyone, for being here tonight on the eve of the 75th Hunger Games! Seventy-five years! Can you believe it? Ha, time flies! And no one knows that better than the chosen few who are waiting backstage. I am elated to introduce you all to the 24 tributes of the Third Quarter Quell. A very special group indeed. Never seen before in the history of the Games. Because for this year alone, we’ll see for ourselves if more life experience makes for wiser, more efficient contenders. But first, let’s give them a chance to express themselves, because more life experience means more stories we’d like to hear. Isn’t that right? Ha ha! Let’s hear it for them! Yes, so exciting! Now, the first of our tributes hails from one of the esteemed career districts. I spoke to her briefly backstage, and she’s a firecracker of a woman. I love it, I love her. Come on out!”

Though the cycle of interviews provided some insight into those who were reaped, neither Caesar nor the tributes’ day was close to being over. Renting out the Museum of Panem History for a hefty but sufficient price, Caesar helped arrange an after-party where all walks of people could enjoy each other’s company. How else would high society get a closer look at the garments that the stylists worked so tirelessly to create? And what better place to view segments of the Games than in the spacious auditorium found in the museum? However, the curators strongly encouraged that any food and beverages remain in the dining room. Each display was too invaluable to risk an accident.

The excitement of Capitolites. The anticipation of tributes and their prep teams. The culture shock experienced by lottery winners. An amalgamation of emotions would brew within a building that contained relics of the nation’s controversial past. For the sake of everyone involved, the attendees could only hope the event would run smoothly, especially among individuals of such differing opinions and backgrounds. Though hope may not be enough to keep the growing unrest from boiling over.

President Snow's ensemble is a mesh of crimson and charcoal hues. Light eyes scan the room as he looks down on all from a flashy balcony. A self-satisfied smile is the only glimpse into Coriolanus's mind that he allows the audience to witness. That is, until he greets the crowd.

"I am thrilled to see many friendly, familiar faces. So many of you remain mythic to Panem's great history. Within days, we will be witnessing the continued legacy of the Hunger Games. For seventy-five years, they have served as a glorious reminder of how unity is needed for the survival of our great nation. And regardless of anyone's belief, everyone here has served a vital role to the Games and thus kept balance in Panem. So let us celebrate. Tonight my home is yours. Here's to the third Quarter Quell, and many more to follow."

Before every Quarter Quell event, there has been a gala thrown at the Presidential mansion. Many Capitolites only wish to one day receive an invite to one of these exclusive affairs. With the strong presence of the influential and wealthy, it is unsurprising that President Snow requires requests the appearance of victors and tributes alike.

Come enjoy the festivities. From an assortment of bottomless provisions to live music to a distinct guestlist, there's something for everyone. Though be wary, as in any high society event, whispers travel. You never know if that attentive acquaintance is trustworthy nor who might be listening. After all, President Snow seems to have ears everywhere.
