hi sen... this isnt rlly a question but entertain poor me ok... sniffs
i encounter tech problems so often its sad and sometimes i wish you could js teleport to where i am and fix it all for me
its so sad to admit that ive probably spent around 5-7k philippine peso to get a lot of my gadgets fixed. getting my phone fixed and lcd replaced multiple times... and now my most current problem, it seems i need to get my laptop's charging port fixed and from the looks of it, it might cost me either 1k or 3k philippine peso depending on how bad it is...
sniffs. but then i think about how easy it probably is for you to tinker with stuff like this and i cant help but be envious. im very well aware its a bad idea to tinker with it myself as i dont have experience with it, so i wont. but i am bummed out about spending a good amount of money for something a tech guy can fix in less than 10 minutes
anws to cheer up the mood a bit, the moon is in a beautiful crescent shape right now and i was in awe when i saw it ( ⸝⸝´ ᵕ `⸝⸝) make sure to look up from your desk tonight and gaze at her beauty okok?
First of all, 5–7k pesos on repairs? Ouch. My condolences to your wallet. 💔
But yeah, I could probably fix a charging port in under ten minutes. But don’t beat yourself up— That’s only after years of taking things apart, breaking them worse, and learning exactly why they broke. It’s not magic, it’s accumulated failure that helped me learn.
And don’t feel bad about not tinkering yourself. Knowing when not to experiment is also intelligence. Charging ports aren’t exactly beginner-friendly unless you enjoy accidentally desoldering your motherboard.
AND,
If it makes you feel better, I once promised my entire science club I’d bring homemade treats to celebrate a competition win. Forgot about it until the night before. Didn’t have enough ingredients. Ended up panic-hiring a professional baker and paying an absurd amount just to mass-produce cupcakes at 2 a.m.
Efficiency? Zero.
Financial damage? Catastrophic.
Even I hemorrhage money because of poor planning sometimes.
Also… thanks for the moon reminder. I’ll look up. Even rocket scientists need to appreciate the sky once in a while.
