Coffee... it’s such a big and important part of my college life in so many ways ....... being far away from home and lack of good coffee has enlightened me well on how much caffeine is important to me... (I know I sound like an addict maybe I am I don’t give two shit that I am ! I’m lovin’ it!!) .... morning coffee was a ritual I never thought I had to give up on .... but in last 3 years I had to... to be honest I am very selective about my coffee ... ( I do like good old black coffee but cravings are a bitch!). Coffee for me is like that warm fuzzy feeling I run to when I want to be alone and read books or surf net with slow music ( which is all the time tbh!). On my way back to college a.k.a hellhole from my blissful vacation I had the best coffee ever while waiting for my late night flight .... and guess the coffee shop I love.... yup good old Starbuck .... you can never go worng with Starbucks... it was also a reminder that I will not be able to drink this amazing comfy warm coffe for 1 fucking year ...😭😭😭 I miss my coffee time ritual every morning and evening... gonna start that routine when I get a job and get the fuck out of this hellhole ...

The Art of the Pause: Elevating the Evening Ritual
In a world that moves entirely too fast, finding a moment of pure stillness has become the ultimate luxury. For many of us, the traditional quick 'sutta' break is a necessity to get through the workday hustle. But when the sun goes down and the emails stop, relaxation requires an entirely different pace.
It’s about transitioning from a rushed habit to a deliberate ritual.
There is a profound appreciation that comes with slowing down—noticing the craftsmanship of a hand-rolled leaf, the earthy, complex aromas, and the patience required for a perfect, even burn. It’s an experience meant to be savored, whether you are unwinding in quiet solitude or sharing stories with close friends over a weekend malt.
For those looking to transition from the everyday smoke to understanding the nuances of premium, hand-crafted traditions, exploring the culture is half the journey. You can dive deeper into this refined lifestyle and discover beautifully curated collections at https://theslowdraw.com/

An Evening Exhale: How to Gently Close the Day
By evening, the body is ready to let go — even if the mind is still carrying the day. How we close the day matters just as much as how we begin it. It reminds me of last night’s weekly community Meditation at RokmilWE—the quiet power of being together and the way presence becomes its own kind of thank-you. A rushed evening keeps the nervous system alert; a gentle one signals safety, repair, and rest. Research from Harvard Medical School explains how chronic stress keeps the nervous system activated and why intentional evening practices help signal safety and rest. We often focus on productivity, morning routines, and how to start strong. But the body is listening most closely at night. How we wind down informs how deeply we sleep, how well we repair, and how we wake the next day. Studies shared by the National Institutes of Health highlight how consistent evening routines support deeper sleep and nervous system regulation. An evening ritual doesn’t need to be elaborate. It doesn’t need candles, lists, or perfection. It can be as simple as slowing the breath, dimming the lights, or washing your face with intention. These small cues tell the body it’s safe to soften. Practicing together has a way of deepening rest, which is why I return each week to meditating in community. RokmilWE Meditation community For those who are curious about beginning a Meditation practice gently, learning to meditate at your own pace can be a supportive place to start. Tonight, you might try this: Gratitude - Turn down the lights earlier than usual - Place one hand on the body and take three slow breaths - Let the jaw unclench, and the shoulders drop - Name one thing you’re grateful for before sleep This isn’t about doing more. It’s about allowing less. When we give the nervous system permission to rest, everything benefits — sleep, skin, mood, and the way we meet the day ahead. Evening becomes not an ending, but a gentle return. Research from Harvard Medical School explains how chronic stress keeps the nervous system activated and why intentional evening practices help signal safety and rest. Read the full article
How to Begin a Meditation Practice (Without Overthinking It)
Meditation is often presented as something you need to “get right.”A perfect posture. A quiet mind. A long stretch of uninterrupted time. In reality, Meditation begins much more simply — with a willingness to pause. If you’ve ever felt curious about Meditation but unsure where to start, this is for you. Meditation doesn’t begin with silence WHAT IS MEDITATION It begins with attention. Many people believe Meditation means stopping thoughts. That idea alone keeps people from starting. Thoughts will arise — that’s part of being human. Meditation is not about erasing them, but about noticing without engaging. Meditation supports the body’s natural ability to respond to stress with more ease and balance. According to research from Harvard Medical School, chronic stress directly affects the nervous system, influencing everything from sleep to emotional regulation. Studies shared by the National Institutes of Health further highlight how meditation and mindfulness practices can support stress reduction and emotional well-being over time. For those new to the practice, Mindful offers a clear and approachable explanation of what meditation is — and what it isn’t — helping to remove much of the pressure people feel when starting. Even one conscious breath can be a beginning. Start where you are, not where you think you should be Begin where you are If you’d like a gentle foundation, you may enjoy learning to meditate at your own pace through a self-guided introduction designed to support beginners without pressure. You don’t need special clothing, cushions, or a long morning routine. Try this instead: - Sit or lie down comfortably - Place one hand on your body — chest, belly, or thigh - Take three slow breaths, noticing the inhale and the exhale That’s it.You’ve begun. Consistency matters far more than duration. A few minutes practiced gently and regularly will support you more than an occasional long session filled with pressure. Create a rhythm, not a rule meditation ritual Meditation becomes sustainable when it’s woven into daily life rather than placed on a pedestal. Even a short evening ritual can help the body let go of the day and prepare for rest. You might practice: - In the morning, before checking your phone - In the evening, as a way to release the day - At the same time each week inthe community What matters is returning — again and again — without judgment. Guided support can help Meditation group Many people find it easier to meditate when they are guided, especially at first. A steady voice, a clear structure, and a shared rhythm can help the nervous system settle. For those who enjoy practicing together, our weekly Wednesday evening Meditation offers a simple, grounding space to unwind and reconnect. And for those who prefer to learn privately and at their own pace, a self-guided approach can be just as supportive.
