If pop-up windows are used to display error messages, do they allow the user to see the field in error?
No – there isn’t room for this in the app as most of it is free-form typing. However this can be useful for the log in and sign in screens. Quite possibly when entering times for reminders and events too?
To signal an input error in a form, mark the textbox that needs to be changed
Not designed, but this could be useful for the sign up and log in forms. Quite possibly when entering times for reminders and events too?
Summary:
A lot of what I could improve mention pointing out errors - which I haven’t designed for. The most immediate thing I can think of to implement this is for the form (signing up and logging in). However, this did make me think of use/misuse cases which I havent really had time to look at.Â
Heuristic tests don’t really put in consideration the user group and the context, so it gets a bit challenging when trying to think of how usable this app is with its users.
Things to work on:
Refining final designs
And if I have time to add on to my agenda:
Misuse cases for each task (invalid entries, undesirable moods, too many reminders)
Experienced users and how they would use each task (lots of entries, moods, etc)
