say hello to esmeralda suárez  ;  a 30-year-old hairdresser & retired actress. esmeralda put everything on the line at a young age ( 19 ). they’d dropped out of school to follow their dreams despite everyone’s negative comments about failure being inevitable. being young & naive, esmeralda put all doubts aside to pursue what she wanted most in life : to become a well-known actress. audition after audition - days upon days --- nothing was coming. by the age of 23, their dream was lost. they’d heard many “ i told you so’s ” & general snarky comments about how they should’ve have given up so easily. with much thought and no warning, esmeralda up and left town. no one knew where she’d gone or why. days quickly became weeks ... and then months. and before anyone knew it, it’d been years since the small town they’d grown up in had heard from her. her name came up as quickly as it had left. soon, the name esmeralda suárez was on every headline. their dream has come true. by the age of 29, esmeralda had proved everyone who doubted them wrong. and they’d grown to desire that more than becoming an actress. and so, they retired. after starring in 3 movies & 1 nomination, esmeralda moved back to their small home town. they had gotten a taste of their dream all while proving everyone wrong ; they were more than ready to settle down.

and so, they opened a small hair styling business and began thinking of a new dream ---- this was just the beginning.

leaves their dirty clothes on the floor: they’re both guilty but kat is the worst, jason glares at her and says something along the lines of “can you not?”

forgets to run the dishwasher: kat but jason doesn’t really say anything about it because it’s not a big deal

pumps gas for the car: jason because kat never wants to get out of the car but sometimes he’ll bribe her with things

drives when they’re going somewhere: jason. he rarely lets anyone else drive his car and he loves driving

rearranges the furniture: i’d say neither of them but probably kat when she gets sick of the bed being on the floor and they’ll probably get in an argument about it bc jason likes when things are perfectly in place…… the same way. forever.

falls asleep with the TV on: jason without fail like every single time bc he’s always tired and has the attention span of a goldfish

gets to use the bathroom first: they fight over it and the bathroom isn’t big enough to really share but they basically race every morning

decides the temperature for the ac/heater: jason and if kat changes it, he throws a tantrum like a child

sets up holiday decorations: they never really had a plan but jason surprised kat one year with the whole apartment decorated and now it’s kind of expected.

leaves the lights on: probably kat and jason hates it with every fiber of his being bc he likes his apartment to be constantly dimly lit with all of one lamp

uses the bathroom with the door open: neither of them probably care but in tune with the bathroom sharing, they shut and lock the door to be dicks

leaves their dirty clothes on the floor: both of them, especially bc they’re just constantly taking them off. nate is particular about his expensive things, tho.

forgets to run the dishwasher: both of them but nate usually remembers before dakota. they rarely ever empty it.

pumps gas for the car: “nate’s manager” nkjdngkj no, nate does but he rarely drives his car.

drives when they’re going somewhere: nate does. if dakota wants to, he’s in charge of the playlist.

rearranges the furniture: nate redoes certain rooms every so often bc he gets a particular vision. kota probably helps with small things like decor and knick knacks.

falls asleep with the TV on: they don’t really watch a ton of tv, they’re more music people but usually kota when nate is watching it.

gets to use the bathroom first: fair game - whoever wakes up first but they probably don’t mind using it at the same time. i feel like dakota does his hair.

decides the temperature for the ac/heater: dakota because she’s always cold and is dramatic about it.

sets up holiday decorations: i think it started with both of them for his mom and then they decide they want to do at least a tree but they’re a bit lazy about it

leaves the lights on: neither of them but nate is a stickler about it because he grew up poor as fuck lmfao

uses the bathroom with the door open: neither of them care, they’re way too open with each other to care about something like that
