so in endgame, we are led to believe that everyone that got dusted just fell asleep and woke up when strange came to collect them to aid the avengers against thanos. BULLSHIT. I call it ! so I’m having it where peter was conscious within the soul dimension during the 5 years that took place where the characters were dusted. cat over at traumaturgic helped develop a way for the soul dimension to make sense, so everyone in the soul dimension would be sent to a place where they were most content in their life. they could visit each other, and when they opened the door or stepped around the corner or something, they’d end up in someone else’s ‘content place’. for peter, that would be his childhood home in Missouri, with his mother ( or perhaps with his guardians aboard the milano. it shifts, depending on how he’s feelings ). so he spent those 5 years with his mother again. HOWEVER, time is wonky there ----- so peter isn’t even sure how much time passed, only that it felt like a really long time. there was never any clocks or anything in the soul dimension, not for peter anyway, so he isn’t sure how much time has passed. it takes EVERYTHING within him to leave his mother again when strange comes to collect him, but he finally gets closure centering his mother’s death, and to finally say goodbye to her. i weep.
