Geoffrey is supposed to look like an original version of his old self but his head still retains that sonic oc look(with them big ol' eyes), while his body is a furry buff old school star trek character. The closest look I could only think of Penders trying to emulate was steven butler's art of him (designed by J. Axer)

Hershey on the other hand looks NOTHING like her old self. Which is odd when you look at how Penders drew her in the all girls special issue. He still retained her Sonic-esque look but at the same time she looked more like an original cartoony furry character. It was a pretty good design of his. NOW in TL-SC he decided to go a completely different direction, as stated by @thankskenpenders post here. You can really see that he's just drawing a human hot chick from star-trek (you can tell by the nose curve and the human lips) but just drew her with fur, a pink nose and slitted eyes (*shudder*)

I never did like those slitted irises on those cat clocks.

If he really wanted to make anthropomorphic characters that differed from their sonic artstyle, he could've looked at the art style of Blacksad.

....even if a lot of the 'beautiful' girl characters all have human like faces and lips compared to their male, more animal looking counterparts. (It's really jarring). Blacksad still makes them look appealing and nice to look at.
