you are just like, that feeling when life sweeps you into worry and you haven't touched a book in months; when you pick up that paperback from atop the pile of unseen starvation and you can't put it down.

it fills you with so much emotion, illuminating joy to merciless strife it fills you with so much calm and satisfaction, that you don't understand how, you haven't spent your whole life, with your hazy eyes between these covers stumbling into, with caressing gaze, this new world like innocent lovers.

you'll go to the nearest store fill a shelf with a greed so deep, to feel the calm between sheets of printed paper; you'll build walls of secret desires to be saved for later.

but then life comes around to pile dust on your rekindled love, and again memories fade of that reluctant wade through final chapters wishing this small piece of bliss would always stay.

you are just like, a growing mass of novels whose pages i could gently devour if i could only remember the beautiful things i felt, in those gentle hours.
