Fiddler Beetle - Eupoecila australasiae
Commonly named Fiddler Beetle for the fiddle (violin) shaped patterns on its back, Eupoecila australasiae (Coleoptera - Scarabaeidae) is a species of flower chafer native to south-eastern Australia (New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria).
Adults of these beetles feed on nectar and pollen, and are found on flowers, while their larvae inhabit in rotten wood. The marks of the adults can be bright green or yellow on black or dark background.
