a/n :: not proofread, and i also did some research on nana bnb and had to bend it for the scenario but slay! also, for @ikissvernon ♡
“Does it look nice?” He looked between Woozi and Vernon, eyeing his vest from which he had just come from a suit fitting.
“It’s very nice.” Vernon raised his eyebrows, nodding.
“Is that gonna be the one?” Woozi asked.
“I’m not sure. We still have a ton more to try on, but I was running out of time before I had to be here so I’m going back once shooting is over.”
“I can't believe you’re the first to get married out of all of us.” Seungcheol leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest.
Seokmin smiled wide, practically bouncing in his seat. “I can't wait.”
Seungkwan clapped his hands together. “Eunhye showed me her veil the other day. It’s so gorgeous.”
“That’s not fair!” He whined, slouching in his chair.
“I have best friend privileges. Sorry.”
Shooting began as soon as Jun arrived. Seventeen and their producers filmed as usual, not knowing that they would be kidnapped in the middle of their tenth anniversary episode. As soon as the news broke, the room was in chaos. Some had no idea what was going on, others were ecstatic. Seokmin was a mixture of everything. He was surprised and happy until he remembered his plans for the night.
“Wait, what if we had plans?” He raised his hand, covering his mouth with the other.
“I was supposed to go see something tonight.” Vernon looked between him and na pd.
“Everyone will have five minutes to collect all their things and head towards the bus.” The producer stated.
Minghao's eyes widened. “I have to cancel my plans over the next few days.”
“Is this real?” Seokmin’s eyes were huge as he looked around frantically, the knowledge that they were about to take a very spontaneous trip for nana bnb seeping in very quickly. “Oh!”
Members started to make calls, canceling their plans they had or asking their managers to get their things. Seokmin pulled out his phone, freaking out as he excused himself out to the
hallway. He dialed Eden’s number, hearing it ring until she answered.
“Hii,” She spoke and he could tell there was a warm smile on her face.
“Honey…” He pouted, looking at the chairs around him.
“Minee,”
“Please don’t be upset, but I’m not gonna be able to make it to my suit fittings tonight.” His voice trailed off, feeling sad that he’d have to disappoint her.
The line went quiet and he just knew that she was frowning. “I’m sorry. I’m being kidnapped!”
He swears he heard a snort or a laugh on the other side.
“I know.”
“You know?” He raised his eyebrows, covering his other ear to hear her better.
“Yes, love. The producer reached out to me and asked if I’d be okay with you skipping out on your suit fitting.” Eden’s voice was soft and reassuring.
“Really? You’re okay with it?”
“Of course. We can reschedule. I’ve taken care of everything so you should go and enjoy yourself.”
“So should I call and tell them we can’t come?”
“It’s taken care of, they were in on it too.”
“Wow.” He let out a sigh of relief before standing tall again. “I really wanted to go with you tonight.”
“I know, baby. Me too. We’ll go another time.” She comforted him, her voice softening with each word. “For now, I want you to go enjoy yourself with the boys. Okay?”
“Okayyy, thank you. I love you.” He smiles to himself, smooching his lips on the phone as if to give her a kiss.
“I love you more. Have fun.” She kisses him through the phone fast enough so he can’t argue with her. He’s not sure how to feel about spending his evening someplace else other than the tailor, but he’s going to make the best of it.
“Everything good?” Seungkwan clapped him on the back, bringing him back to the present.

I have decided to pick up my pen and write to you because I have some very exciting news to share with you. I would like to thank all the people who have cheered me on throughout my entire career. Even the good and the ugly moments. Before debut, to my solo debut, and every moment after. Every person I’ve come in contact with throughout the years has had an impact on me, no matter how big or small, and has shaped me into the person I am today.
There is someone very special that I met along the way who I cherish very much. We met personally just after I had entered my 20s and we became close friends. Our friendship soon developed into something deeper and more precious than anything I’ve ever had. 21 year old Eden would have never imagined she would be writing this letter 7 years later.
Not many people can say that they’ve met their soulmate in their lifetime, but I am endlessly grateful to say that I have found mine. He loves me and embraces every form of myself. And I love him to itty bitty pieces. He is the love of my life, my best friend, and the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. After many years of shared trust and affection, we have proposed to each other and are getting married!
I was very anxious and worried a lot about how we should deliver this news. But the love we have previously received has assured me that everything will be alright. We are looking forward to spending the next chapter of our lives together and hope you cheer for us in the future.
BLINKS, I am so grateful for all the love you have given me over the years. I hope your worries can be eased a little knowing that I will be taken care of. Please open your arms to him and treat him with care. He makes me the happiest girl in the world.
CARATS, thank you for welcoming me into your family. You’ve shown me lots of love that I will always hold dear to my heart. I promise to love and cherish Dokyeom for the rest of my life. I know he is a very precious person to you and I, so I will protect and take care of him as much as he has of me. He will be loved, I promise.
Even after marriage, I will continue to be an idol you can be proud of. I will continue to showcase my passion for music and repay all the love you have shown me.
“You’re good?” Seokmin gives her a thumbs up with his eyebrows raised.
She’s poking her straw through the lid, shooing him away. “Go ahead before you miss the good trailers.”
“Okay, be right back.” He pats the top of her head before walking down the stairs and leaving the theater.
Eden takes her coat off, spreading it across her lap before looking at the soft pretzels they ordered. She was tempted to take a few bites until he returned, but she held herself back. She reclined her seat, kicking her feet and swiping through her phone. She takes small bites of popcorn with one hand to make sure that her screen doesn’t get greasy.
She clams up when she hears the beginning of her OST playing through the speakers. She’s heard it plenty of times but not out in public. She looks up, expecting to see scenes from the drama but instead sees photos of herself as a baby. And then Seokmin.
Her head whips back and forth, looking around to see who’s behind this. She doesn’t see anyone. She has no doubt that Seokmin has something to do with it.
She sets her phone down, covering her mouth with her palm as she watches a photo montage of pictures of them throughout their childhood, both him and her. She snorts once a picture of him with a pot over his head pops up. It gets to pictures of their trainee days, until one photo shows up, their first picture together. It had to be a few weeks after they first met. Then a bunch of pictures appear of the two of them.
Eden finally realizes what’s going on. It’s a proposal. And the thought itself has tears filling her eyes. It dawns on her that this is the same cinema where they first met.
Her OST fades out and only a white screen remains. A head pokes out from the entrance and she can see her boyfriend turning towards her with a microphone in his hand. And he starts singing.
It’s not a song she’s ever heard before.
She covers her face with both hands, curling into herself on the recliner. She stops breathing for a second, clenching her jaw to keep the sobs contained. She can hear his voice falter for a split second and she’s not sure if it’s because he’s getting flustered or he’s crying.
Eden steadies her breathing, her feet flat on the floor as she pulls her phone out and turns on the flashlight. He busts into laughter, turning away from her and she can only hear him and the instrumental. He collects himself fast so he can sing the rest of his song to her.
Her heart feels like it’s gonna explode out of her chest. Her favorite person, her favorite voice in the entire world right before her and there is nothing she wouldn’t do for him.
The song finishes and he bows at a 90 degree angle. Eden claps until her palms are numb.
“Did you like your song?” He speaks into the mic, smiling as he squeezes it in both of his hands.
Her song. “I was busy crying so I didn’t get most of the lyrics, but you sounded beautiful!”
“That’s okay, we'll have the rest of our lives together so that I can sing it again for you, along with plenty of other songs.”
She laughs, wiping her eyes dry and standing to her feet. Eden practically leaps into his arms, wrapping hers around his neck as he squeezes her tightly. He swirls a comforting hand against her back, inhaling the scent of her shampoo.
She pulls away, her hands resting on his neck. “Tell me this is not what I think it is.”
He sighs. “It feels like forever ago that I first met you here. When I stop and think about it, I can close my eyes and just remember every detail about it like it was yesterday. We were so young back then, I had no idea that I would sit next to the absolute love of my life that night.”
Eden is crying again, trying to blink away her tears but they keep filling up. “Baby…”
“I practiced what I was going to say but now that it’s finally time, I’m freaking out.” He chuckles and his own voice is wobbly. “You have no idea how many times I wanted to propose to you in the past few weeks but I couldn’t because I had prepared this.”
She nodded, holding onto his waist while smiling.
“God, I feel so stupid for leaving my letter at home.” He hides his flushed face on her shoulder. “I feel like I wouldn’t be able to get through the whole thing without us both crying.”
She pats the small of his back. Laughing through her tears. “You’re doing amazing, Minee.”
Seokmin straightens his back and she can see the glassy look of his eyes. Her lips turn into a pout.
“I love you, Lee Eunhye. I was probably too naive then to notice it, but there was a tiny corner in my brain and heart that knew you would be the one. It knew how important you would become to me. I’ve never told you this, but when we first got together, I could sense how scared you were. For us. You didn’t know where the road would take us,” He pauses, gently taking her hand and putting it against his chest. “You trusted me enough to at least give it a shot. You are the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, the one I want to build a family with. I want our children to take from us, your eyes and your beautiful mind. But most of all, I want to grow old with you. I want to go through life together and experience all the wonders the world has to offer. The highs and the lows. I want you to be right there by my side when our hair is gray and our skin is all wrinkly. We might be incompetent but I know we lived a long and happy life together.”
Seokmin lets her go and sets the mic down on one of the seats, turning the corner towards the entrance and coming back with a box and a huge bouquet of pink flowers in his hands. Eden clutches her hands to her chest. Her heart may actually burst.
“It’s always been you and it will always be you. Forever. If you’ll let me, I promise to do everything in my power to treat you like a princess, like you deserve. I promise you, I will make you the happiest person in the world. Because you deserve the world.” He takes a deep breath, switching the bouquet to one arm as he opens the jewelry box and gets down on one knee. “Will you marry me?”
Eden tips her head to the ceiling and cries out into the empty theater. She might even hear him whining under her own sobs. She stomps her foot down, turning around and heading back to her seat. A puzzled look grows onto his face, not expecting her to walk away from him.
She digs in her bag for something.
She grabs a box from her bag, coming back to him and opening the lid. “I can't believe this.” She has a ring of her own. For him.
Seokmin drops his head and starts laughing. “Were you planning on proposing too?”
“Yes! I thought I would take the initiative this time. I’ve carried it around for months but I’ve been too scared.” She wipes under her eyes, giggling along with him because of how ridiculous this situation is.
“You’re not supposed to do that! I’m supposed to be doing this!”
Eden starts to kneel when Seokmin quickly stands up, pulling her up and into his arms. She breaks down into his shirt, hugging him so tight as she cries. The flowers may be getting squished but neither of them seem to be aware.
“I love you.” He whispers into her hair, rubbing his hand down her back. She tries her best to keep herself composed, but she still hiccups.
“Thank you so much.”
“I love you so much.” He mumbles and even now he’s starting to cry.
She pulls away and snorts when she sees the mascara on his white shirt. She tries to wipe it away but it won’t budge. She sniffles, looking up into his eyes and wiping his tears. “I love you too, Seok. And of course, yes!”
His smile is content and soon his teeth start to show. He kisses her forehead and then her lips.
“I already said yes but I’ll say it again. I’ll say yes and yes and yes again and again. I’ll keep saying yes. I will always say yes.” She pecks him between each sentence, sniffing and looking over his face through her own blurry vision. She wraps her arms around his neck as they keep reciting their love for each other in whispers. They stand there comfortably in each other's arms for a few moments.
“You know, my answer is yes too.” He speaks up, distancing themselves as he looks over her face. She giggles, taking the ring out of her box and grabbing his hand. He grins, spacing out his fingers as she slides it on. “My turn.”
Seokmin hands the bouquet to her, running his fingers down her arm as he holds her hand. He kisses the back of it before sliding his own ring on her finger as well. He sticks the box in his pocket, wrapping his arms around her waist and leaning in to kiss her. “I love you so much.”
“I love you too.” She mumbles against his lips, smiling as she looks up into his eyes.
He blushes, shaking his head as he tries to keep his excitement contained.
“What?” She laughs, resting her palm against his cheek.
“Nothing,” He sighs happily. “I’m already anticipating the day I get to call you my wife.”
Eden lets more tears fall from her eyes, chuckling in disbelief. “You already sneak in that nickname at the most random times. And every time, it makes my stomach do a tumble when I remember how certain you are that you wanna spend the rest of your life with me.”
“I wouldn’t want it any other way. As long as it’s always you.” He reaches for her hands with both of his, the bouquet slipping to the crease in her arm as he brings her hands to his lips and kisses them tenderly.
She melts into his touch, hugging him tight as she inhales the scent of his clothes. They stay wrapped around each other for a moment before Eden clears her throat. “So is there actually a movie or?”

“Woah woah woah!” Eden had a death grip around Seokmin’s neck, feeling him wobble as the elevator went up several floors from the lobby. He had offered to give her a ride on his back after walking in the wet weather in heels.
“You’re okay. I’ve got you.” He reassured her, making sure his arms locked around her knees were tight. She folded her hands in the front, attacking his neck with kisses as he giggled.
The elevator door pushed open, revealing a middle aged man. Their smiles quickly faded, both feeling embarrassed like they got caught doing something they weren’t supposed to be doing. The man looked surprised, stepping aside to let them out. Seokmin walked past him, carrying her through the halls as Eden watched the doors.
When the elevator doors finally shut again and there was no one to be seen, she let out a snort while his knees got weak from laughing.
“He definitely thinks we’re crazy.” She joked. When they finally got to his hotel room, he stopped in place as Eden pulled his keycard out of her pocket and swiped it.
He ventured further into the room, backing up against the bed where he dropped her off from his back. He turned around, holding her face in his palms and smiling. “Alone at last.”
She held onto his wrist, reaching up to kiss his lips. She had missed his touch for months now, hard to fathom how her manager possibly let her pull this off.
“You guys did great tonight.” She swayed her body back and forth, waving his wrists in the air as she chuckled. He intertwined their fingers together, flashing her that familiar smile that always made her feel like she was home.
He nodded, pulling her into his chest and
hugging her tight. He cradled the back of her head while kissing her temple. “Thank you for coming. You didn’t have to come all this way.”
“I wanted to. I missed you and wanted to surprise you.” Eden rubbed the small of his back. “It’s okay. We have a few more days off before we have to rehearse and everything.”
“The girls aren’t mad, are they?” He frowned, distancing their faces and looking her in the eyes.
“Of course not. You know they love you. Don’t worry.” She shook her head, bringing her hands up to push away his stray hairs. “You can have a little more time with me now.”
He pecked her forehead, letting out a sigh of relief. “I can’t wait til we’re not busy anymore. When we can go out on dates regularly, fall asleep together, hold each other like this.”
“I know. We just have to be a bit more patient.” She nodded, smiling at him with all the love in her eyes. “I’m so happy these days because of you. No amount of distance can change that.”
He squealed out of excitement, picking her up and sitting on the bed while placing her on his lap. His hands rested around her waist, pressing his head to her chest and humming.
“Minee?”
“Hmm?” He pulled away, looking up towards her with a hopeful grin.
“Your English is so cute.” She snickered, rubbing circles on his cheeks with her hand.
“Is it? I’ve tried practicing and all that.”
“So cute.” She kissed his nose, tempted to give him a bunch of raspberries. “You’re getting better everyday.”
He quickly gave her another peck on the lips. The two went back and forth, giving each other many kisses on different places of their faces. They weren’t going to leave any surface untouched.
“You haven’t eaten yet, right?” She brushed her fingers through the hair at the base of his neck. “I can order something while you take a shower.”
He pouted, snuggling in closer to her. “You don’t wanna join me?”
Eden patted the top of his head, shaking her head. “Not tonight. I’ll make sure the food is ready when you get out.” She got off his lap and onto her feet, pulling her phone out of her pocket.
Seokmin stood up, dragging his feet to the bathroom and pleading with his eyes as he stood in the doorway. She shooed him with her hand, resuming her search for a restaurant that was open at this late hour.
When the food arrived, she didn’t want to just leave it like it was. She tried to arrange everything nicely for him. Now she waited for him
to get out of the shower. She paced back and forth in the room before stopping in front of the window. She pulled the curtains to the side to reveal the dim city lights.
It was misty from all the rain and she couldn’t see well given how bright their hotel room was. She felt her cheeks getting warmer. Everything was starting to fall back into place. She felt proud of herself, proud of her group, proud of her boyfriend and his group. She was full of so much love now.
She felt herself shiver from the sudden air hitting her. She wrapped her arms around herself, rubbing up and down on her skin to warm herself up.
She didn’t hear him get out of the shower until the door opened. Eden quickly turned around to see him shirtless, his hair falling flat against his face and his shorts fitting comfortably around his waist.
“It smells good.” He smelled the aroma of their dinner. She couldn’t help but giggle, looking back out the window and taking the scent in.
Seokmin made his way behind her, trying to make himself level with her view to see what she was looking at. He took this as the opportunity to hug her from behind. She exhaled, leaning back against his chest and gripping onto his wrists.
“I never thought we’d be in the states together like this.” He nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck, rocking them back and forth before kissing her cheek.
“Is it better than Jeju? or Busan?” She looked at their reflection in the glass, rubbing her thumb over his knuckles.
“It doesn’t matter where we are. As long as I’m with you.” He smirked, shaking his head before bending his knees and picking her up by the waist. “I’m starving.”
Eden would never get used to him picking her up so effortlessly like this. She worried about putting too much strain on his muscles that he needed for his work. He set her down by the bed, taking the chair and grinning at their setup.
“Thank you,” Seokmin quickly reached over the tray to kiss her. “Love you. Let’s eat.”
