I've joined a budding Montreal-based comics collective called Coup d'Œil collective, founded by Erinye. I made this for their upcoming zine, "Anatomy of an Artist". Originally, I only really meant to write the two limericks I had in there, but I wrote too small and had space to fill in the intended text area... so the information overload happened.

Each artist contributed a two-page spread. I found it especially charming and fun to see how every participant makes different choices in how they present themselves. Some folks drew themselves REAL CLOSE UP, some folks real teeny tiny! Some folks present a single facet of themselves; "THIS is what's most important to know about me!!" -Whereas some render themselves many times throughout their illustration, showing varied modes of being, as if seeking to be understood as a multitude and a whole. There are so many incredible (and young!!) artists in this collective. I hope the projects will keep on coming, and that it grows into a lasting community for all these phenomenal folks!!

I think I'll try to make some clothing with my space background here, seeing as I enjoy how it came out and would like to wear it. Galaxies like spiders, weaving a universe together. What better medium than woven cloth to bear it?
