@fallingmist-art has been posting one of her Gaily Life strips per day for Pride Month, figured I could start posting mine as well! :D
I've joined a budding Montreal-based comics collective called Coup d'Œil collective, founded by Erinye. I made this for their upcoming zine, "Anatomy of an Artist". Originally, I only really meant to write the two limericks I had in there, but I wrote too small and had space to fill in the intended text area... so the information overload happened.
Each artist contributed a two-page spread. I found it especially charming and fun to see how every participant makes different choices in how they present themselves. Some folks drew themselves REAL CLOSE UP, some folks real teeny tiny! Some folks present a single facet of themselves; "THIS is what's most important to know about me!!" -Whereas some render themselves many times throughout their illustration, showing varied modes of being, as if seeking to be understood as a multitude and a whole. There are so many incredible (and young!!) artists in this collective. I hope the projects will keep on coming, and that it grows into a lasting community for all these phenomenal folks!!
I think I'll try to make some clothing with my space background here, seeing as I enjoy how it came out and would like to wear it. Galaxies like spiders, weaving a universe together. What better medium than woven cloth to bear it?
Quiz: Besides Euglena and the Marimo (too easy) & the ball of lichens (too many), can you identify the species of my hot air balloons? Hint: one is a cyanobacteria, one is a green algae, and one is a Eukaryote.

We initially thought we had finished the comic, and then realized, almost at the last moment, that we were missing an entire page partway through the story. O___O Thank goodness we were able to put together the missing page in record time.
Unlike Galacie (depicted above), we are working indefatigably- with gusto, even, together with Atti and Shnekk to tie up loose ends and are presently neck-deep in the process of preparing the upcoming volume for release. Thank you again, dear authors, for submitting your charming additional content pages of commentary and sketches. Truly a feast to regale the mind!

The valentimes sketch I had done last year of Faraday (mine) and Thyme (nevina), a sweet old couple of Xelors. Colored via an algorithm (with Paintschainer! That’s right, I didn’t have to do the coloring myself!) and submitted for @atomic-soldier‘s Xelor day, which is on the 12th of every month!
