#eudorian chronicles

Then again, I've been reading a lot of webtoons lately too and I see so many things I could do if I focused on one centric character or couple or something like that then have the final book be like the end all with everyone.... I have so much to tell... And I feel like if I tell it all the books would be ungodly long if I told each story completely...

Of course I've also been going through my editing and just realized that in order to bring the scenes to life and include details to them so that I wasn't just using dialogue to tell the story, my manuscript is going to go from 350 pages to a whole lot more... Like double the number or more... And roughly more than 100,000 words

So it lead me to wondering, would people rather read novels that are smaller in page number with the more details and more centered on a single character or couple, and maybe like 30,000-50,000 words which would lead to multiple books in a series (more than 5 in the series), or would they prefer to read the larger/longer novels with close to 100,000 words and maybe only 3 or 4 books in the series...

Laugh:

Era laughed softly. “If only that were true,” she said as her smile began to fade. “He’s pretty hard headed to maintain his duty.”

Glass:

“This is absolutely wonderful,” Queen Malatri gushed as plates were brought before them. “Now we can go ahead with the wedding plans!”

Azalan choked on his water and he felt Jennou grow still beside him. He glanced at Era out of the corner of his eye and noticed that she was staring into her water glass. He could tell she was focusing on her breathing. He could only imagine what was going through her mind. His own was racing. He was not ready for this just yet.

Drink:

He was silent as he helped Emberanna get the young man off her horse. He showed his true strength when he lifted the man off his feet and carried him toward the home. The young woman waved the two priestesses closer to the porch.

“It’s alright. You can tie your horses off here by the trough so they can drink. They’ve had a long day. Why don’t you ladies join us inside, my friend and I will help you with your friend.”

Frown:

Ina arched an eyebrow. “You could call it that if it helps you to better understand your situation.” Ina took a sip and placed her cup on the saucer. “You seek direction, if I am correct. You and your friend are partaking in your Ethra-Zanes?”

Emberanna frowned in confusion.  “That was our purpose for being out here, yes.  But, how did you know?”

Inaekiel sighed. “I wish I could bring you better news. Just know that the next few decisions you make will have a powerful impact on the coming months. Bonds will be made that will be needed for the future. Be very careful.”

“We will, Inaekiel. I promise,” Emberanna assured her quietly.

Not really sure how this works, but the one who tagged me says it is thought to be about foreshadowing. Luckily, my WIP is all about prophecy, so foreshadowing tends to be all over it. Just meant I had to pick one lol.

“Now, you asked me that for a reason.” Kene pulled back to look her in the eyes. “What is going on?”

“Your father does not have the best interest of our people in his heart.”

“You may have to be a bit more clear on that. That’s a large part of why I am wanting to win this challenge. I have so many things I want to do in order to bring us to a different direction. After hearing what he said tonight, I have to do everything possible to make sure he doesn’t maintain his control.” He drew a breath. “I may need help to do it.”

“We are talking treason.”

“We are talking about doing what it takes to protect our people before he chooses to slaughter our friends just for having knowledge of magic and power.”

Emberanna stared at him in disbelief as he spoke. She had no idea he felt the way he did about his father. “I promise you, Kene, I will do everything in my power to make sure that you defeat your father in your challenge. You just tell me when to be ready.”
