Dating Apps
Who the hell came up with these things? You send out 10 messages you might get one back. At least one of them was nice enough to say no thanks.
My wife seems to be having a bit more luck than before. But nothing solid yet.
Not sure why but this whole dating app thing to find friends makes me nervous. I think that is due to the fact that I don’t feel that I can hide behind the internet to boost my confidence. But I am trying and hopefully something will come of this.
Online Dating...
This whole thing is so new to me. In fact I haven’t really dated ever. I met my wife in high school and we will have been together in December for 10 years. The funny part is that we have both had crushes on other people during this time. I would say that we weren’t mature enough to discuss this till recently. And this is how us becoming polyamorous started.
We both have lots of love to give and want to complete our lives by adding others to it.
Back to what I was saying though. I have never been out there like this. And even though I am not looking to date at the moment I get this weird nervous kind of feeling. Putting myself out there just is out of my norm. But I am happy to try and make some new friends.
It would be nice to have a polya friend to actually talk about all of this to. We are still not coming out to any friends and family as my wife and I have interconnected friends between our two offices. Even though we are in two completely different fields. So the news would probably spread fast. And Owl and I both hate drama so we really don’t want to deal with that.
We will see how this goes for me. Even though this is all done online I am very self conscious about what I say to other people. I am definitely not the brave one in trying to talk to people, but maybe this will change. Only time will tell.
My Unlabeling
I have relationships with multiple people. They range from purely sexual to romantic relationships. They're with girls, boys and everyone in between. For me, it doesn't matter what you are, it matters who you are. I don't discriminate based off gender identity, sex, race or other similar factors. If I find you attractive and want to date you, I will date you. I do not have a primary partner. I just spend time with people when I can. I also talk about my relationships to everyone - friends, family and other partners. Everyone is equal. Everyone gets 100% of my energy put into them as long as I feel I'm getting something back.
