In the fleshy part of their hand, between their thumb and indexfinger is a sizable hole, steadily pulsing blood. It could have been worse... Nao, being exceptionally well-versed in hakuda had quite possibly saved their life with their quick reflexes. They knew the Twelfth was always working on new weapons and accessories, but they had not expected to have to consider boobytraps. 

      They couldn’t even describe the thing if they tried. All they knew was that, as it had shot from the ground, shooting something right for their head, they’d moved their hand { unthinkingly } in front. The sharp, rod-like thing had already been removed by Akon, even though Nao had proposed they just go pay a visit to the Fourth instead... They hadn’t expected Akon’s nimble fingers to also be agile in the medical area. 

there was no denying it really. how she found his forehead the vantage point of sorts to just settle her gaze upon. in all fairness though, she hadn’t seen anything like it. but she remembered the face, even if it had grown up a lot since she’d last seen it. and to think that he was once about the same size as hiyori. and she now found herself wondering, did he do some sort of experiment on himself to grow that big or was it normal growth. 

the 12th division, hiyori’s former home, was indeed a weird place, wasn’t it?
