Postawiona dla aptekarza Romana Jakubowskiego, na miejscu starszego budynku. Założona pod koniec XVIII w. Apteka pod Czarnym Orłem działała tutaj do jej likwidacji w 1946 r. Płaskorzeźba nad głównym wejściem przedstawia boga medycyny, Asklepiosa.

Built for a pharmacist Roman Jakubowski, on the site of an older building. The pharmacy named "Under the Black Eagle", established in the end of XVIII age, worked here until its shutdown in 1946. The relief over the main entrance is a depiction of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine.

Toiagul lui Esculap: Simbol al medicinii
În mitologia grecească, toiagul lui Esculap (Asclesius) era unul pe care se încolăcea un șarpe, fiind purtat de zeul cu același nume, o divinitate asociată cu medicina și vindecarea. Acest simbol s-a perpetuat până în zilele noastre, corelat în continuare cu lecuirea, medicina, medicii, dar fiind confundat frecvent cu caduceul, toiagul zeului Hermes.
