check out that little chestnut!! nice and toasty..get it? It's a fire-sale, everything must go: We are going to have to separate from co-dependence with others to grow closer to GOD. It's not a group activity, it's private like a prayer closet.

I got that from the Die Hard series with Bruce Willis, but the origins are from a store that has inventory that is heavily discounted to ensure its sale of everything due to fire damage, usually associated with filing CH11. And in the fourth installment of Die Hard, everything society depends on gets knocked-out by your garden variety of homegrown terrorists, leaving people scambling in panic over how they are going to survive.

The point is, only GOD is perfect & your sins will follow you to eternity if JESUS is not your willing scapegoat, WHO takes the fall for you. Your patsy WHO will bail you for your lifetime of bad behaviour.

Time does not erase any of it from memory, we just get efficient at recalling what we use all the time. GOD has no such limitations or loss of cognition, as we have to do so repeatedly either out of habit or necessity to ease our consciences. But when we re-encounter certain people of our past, the anger comes back to life.

I've experienced this & witnessed it; get so much more brutal.

People who took time off from seeing each other [avoided/shunned], but within a short time if they [we] have never forgiven one another that old chestnut comes back to haunt them [us].

How many chestnuts in the fire do you have?

Apparently that's the power of prayer & faith in GOD's goodness to help us to relearn how essential HE is to our lives..actually I've never really had a grudge successful taken away, it's like this thing that remains to serve as a painful reminder to pray beforehand and/or immediately so new entanglements with others do not enter the mix.

Maybe this is the thorn in Paul's side, he has wounded a lot of people during his time as a persecutor of the Church, and it later showed up as broken relationships due to the broken families/deaths he caused.

There is literally almost not question in my mind that is the thorn in Paul's flesh, as he wrote the book on love, more than most 'authors' of the Bible: Paul stressed love most since his hatred killed hundreds of people, he should have "easily" loved—assuming the SPIRIT was at work in each of them. His abandonment in prison makes much more sense now, assuming people were triggered by the memory of how he sent their loved ones to their deaths & suddenly the anger resurfaced & he was isolated for his "original sins."

Justin Long heyday, but it's fun how they stuck that in there: A lady is the one caught disclaiming the possibility of the fire-sale, "it's a myth, it can't be done." Please tell me she's here as eye-candy & she's not actually incharge of anything! LOL ouch

If you watched the interviews for this movie, Bruce complains of how Maggie Q actually connected her stilleto to his forehead in the action sequences, more than once[?].. possibly why he can't function so well ever since the film; the series was good, but maybe not so good for BW
