Day 39 started with me discovering the library. This should be good right? Eruidin was all about knowledge right? After all, on the wall of the Library was a quote from the founder of Erudin himself that read, “...for knowledge is the greatest quest of all.”

Well, there were NO BOOKS in that library. Like, not ONE SHELF.

It was very disappointing, especially after reading that inspiring quote. I was all ready to quest for knowledge and everything. I had to warn my friends. “There are zero books in this library...”

“Odd,” Triisu said, “No beds in this inn.”

The end of day 38 was kind of a blur. I honestly don’t even remember where I camped. Maybe I camped in that room with all the beds, or maybe in the Temple of Divine Light. I planned on camping in the local inn, but could not find one.

I find an Erudite named Aderius Rhenar, who was surprisingly calm for a prisoner. He said he was fortunate to be imprisoned with the cat men who were a wise people.

He asked me if I would be returning to Erudin anytime soon, but I flat out told him, “Nope.” Well, I mean, unless we get killed again or something since that’s where my soul is currently bound.

“Maybe Erudites don’t sleep...” I suggested, completely forgetting about the rows and rows of beds in the palace until Triisu brought it up.

“I think they all sleep in the palace and this city is just here to remind outsiders to move on.”

Oh, I almost forgot to mention Mr. Nicelot. Who really isn’t very nice at all. I tried to say hello to him, hoping he could shed some light on the missing book issue.

But he just said loudly, “I have no time to waste with strangers!”

We got lost, separated, you know, the usual. Until I ran into Goldie who had found.... a floating shark? Yup. It was just floating there, in the air. I mean, how did it even get in there? The water looked way too shallow for it to have swam in here by mistake. Maybe someone cast a levitation spell on it?
