Hoods Of Time

Had a nightmare last night that I left my computer on with EQ running in the background. I guess I didn’t want to take the time to load when I wanted to play again. My character was sitting in a safe part of the zone but...

When I came back to play some days later, my mercenary was gone, and so was all my plat. I had forgotten to put my mercenary on Passive mode, so he had been charging me money all that time while I wasn’t playing!

Trii suggested Goldie go back and get a photo if she wanted one.

“Imma pass, but thanks for the invite.” Goldie laughed. Trii only grumbled in response.

“Rule of thumb: Let Triisu do her thing, then decide whether to click it or not.” Goldie said.

“That thing took you back to the maze place!” I said to Triisu, pointing out the obvious.

“YEA I NOTICED,” Triisu cried, “CAUSE 20 SEBO THINGS ATTACKED AT ONCE!”

“I hope they were 20 gray things?” Goldie asked, “And that you are alive? Who all Triisu.”

Poor Goldie was so hasty to find out if Trii was okay that she had entered the wrong format.

“FREAKING BLUE!” Trii answered back.

Fortunately Triisu was able to click the Dragon Statue and return safely to where we were.

We managed to escape the red namer.

"It’s yellow to me,” Goldie grinned. Oh, no... she was planning to attack it wasn’t she?

“SEBO!” Trii cursed, “I JUST summoned that pet...”

We had all split up to get some experience training done, when Trii gets attacked by a red namer! I jump in to help by casting levitate on her and I execute the plan I had when I was being chased by Bulthars.

Soon enough it was time to camp, so of course we made our way back to the safe otter camp houses.

“Good times!” Trii said. Then, after a thought, she amended, “well, save for Goldie dying...”

“Yeah,” I agreed, “No more messing with beaver bears.”

(Or bulthars, same diff.)

We were getting ready to fight some wyverns.

“Still waiting to recover my mana,” Goldie joked. I laughed.

“You don’t HAVE mana!” Trii cried in exasperation.

It sounded like Goldie and Trii saw a red mushroom that couldn’t see them because they were invisible.

Then Goldie clicked on the tree and teleported to Cobalt Scar, but Trii....

“GOLDIE?????” Trii cried in a panicked voice, “I’M ALL ALONE WHAT DO I DO????

“Click the tree!” Goldie instructed.

Once I figured the literal coast was clear, I headed back to shore.

And check it out! I found a merchant! Bloogy Shellcracker! I knew one existed!

Meanwhile, Triisu bought invisibility, so that will come in handy! Goldie tells Triisu that they need to get back to Cobalt Scar through the Plane of Mischief.

“That’s an awfully cute nickname for somewhere so evil sounding,” Triisu said.

“Even if we are invisible, we should assume everything can see us.” Goldie warned.

Okay, here’s where everything went wrong....

We went to fight these creatures called bulthars. They were dark blue, so I thought we could take them. Boy was I wrong...

The worst part was, we accidentally pulled too many. And they hit HARD. We realized we couldn’t beat them, and started running for our lives.

I think we had 3 of them on our tail. I think. My extended target window disappeared some time ago and I’m not sure how to get it back...

I lost track of Goldie and Trii in the chaos. I climbed up a cliff, but it turns out the bulthars can climb too. I cast levitate, jumped off the cliff, and headed for the ocean. Fortunately, it didn’t look like they followed me.

Triisu gated to the POK, but Goldie didn’t make it.

“I was so close to living,” Goldie said from the beyond.

I ended up all alone

in the zone,

hovering above the sea,

afraid that if I went back to land

We got separated, and it looked like Goldie was getting overwhelmed by multiple opponents. Poor Rawry was at 52%. She had it under control though because by the time Trii got to her, everything was dead.

We did some underwater fighting. One of our opponents was a haunted treasure chest that hung around sunken ships. As you can imagine, they had some pretty expensive loot.

Triisu tried looting one.

“Great,” Trii’s voice was thick with sarcasm, “that chest had wine. JUST what I needed.”
