Goat Movie Review
Director: Andrew Neel. Writers: David Gordon Green, Brad Land, Andrew Neel, Mike Roberts. 2016
This is such a good drama.
The story is good and captivating; it starts you off slowly, letting us get to know the characters and the environment in which they are going to develop, they let us get used to the way the main character feels and what he’s been through; and as the plot moves foward things start to get more complicated, in a way; as the pledges start their “hell week” and their life becomes, well, hell.
The main character, Brad, is likeable, and understandable, and he’s very transparent, which is something that I, personaly, liked, because we can see the course of his actions very cleary, where he’s coming from and where he might be going next.
This movie makes an excelent drama, I enjoyed the story, the characters, they way they chose to portray the whole pledging to a fraternity journey. Their characters don’t get stuck, we see some of them grow and change towards the end and that was done nicely as well.
There are some scenes that are weird and strange, as well as some a bit disturbing, but if you’re not too sensible, you should be just fine watching this
I’d give it five out of five goats.
